And I guess I'll go. :ninja: Need to get on buying a ticket, I suppose.
(Going isn't that hard for me... I just need to get on actually buying the ticket, and figuring out how the hell to get wherever I'm going! :P)
Anyway, you should come here at least a day before so we can have that craptastic Facade-esque tour of the city! :P
Yeah, Facade, I figure I'll want to see at least some of the city while I'm there. :) Stay a couple nights, go to the concert, see the sights, go home. Seems like a good plan to me!
Hm, maybe I'll also just get a room down in the city for a couple of nights. I don't know if I could take traveling to and from every day by myself. :gonk: It's too complicated for my poor soul!
If you come near a Sunday, then we can go to the Museum of Art for FREE! :D You know, the famous Museum with the steps? It's in the Rocky movie(s)?
Definitely a great museum... Only certain exhibits are free on Sundays, but still!
Well, the concert is on a Wednesday, Facade, and I was thinking arrive on Tuesday, depart on Thursday, and take the non-concert time in-between for tourism and getting around. The thing I plan to scrimp on is the hotel. (Not the ticket, though, because I am not crossing state lines for a concert only to sit on the lawn. XD)
Yeah, um... I just looked up the actual location of the shindig, and it turns out it actually takes place in Camden! :gonk:
Which is just over the bridge and all, but... Still! Now I need to figure out how the heck I'd get from Philly to CAMDEN! Yeesh.
Directionally challenged? Pfaah.
I know this place like the back of your hand, Kitteh! :illgetu:
But yeah, uh... I don't know the city as well as I'd like to. Most of the time I've been there was when I was very little; have only been to select parts of it in recent years.
Camden is SERIOUSLY right across the bridge (not even really 20 mins), so that's not the issue. But yeah, a lot of the concerts in Philly are typically held in Camden, especially the bigger events... Like this. Smaller venues are at, like, the Electric Factory or Wachovia Center (if it's even still called the Wachovia Center... I feel like the name's changed in recent years).
Wings, Facade and I are sort of planning an excursion to the Lilith Fair concert in Philadelphia, which is actually in New Jersey, but Philadelphia is more marketable, I guess...
