I was just reminded of some movie I heard about fairly recently. :shock:

Could they all have committed suicide? This could be some sort of "purgatory" for them, in a way. Not that I believe in anything of the sort, but it always has a meaning behind it, for the sake of a good story. :ninja:

I dunno. I think they all could have done something - perhaps even just committed a crime? - that, while done separately, still ties them together. Death would be the easiest way to tie them together and make the rifting concept more likely, in a sense. But surely there are other avenues...?

'Cause if we figure out how they enter the rift, we can work backwards, and each develop our own characters and particular stories as to how they ended up at the rift.

Well, we could... uhm, have them all die in the same particular accident. Like the three of them ended up in an elevator, and... you know, died. Or the suicide thing works two, at the same particular time, they commit it, and end up there...

I think that whatever they do should be done apart, but I like the idea of it occurring simultaneously. :yes: Feel free to disagree with me though, we've gotta make something we all love. :rofl: I hate pushing my ideas on people...
But, yeah. To me, it'd be more interesting to hear the backstories of what happened to each, how it happened, what led up to it, etc.; and suicide would be especially interesting, because there are so many reasons for it, ways it occurs (even accidentally), blah blah blah. It's sort of a universal concept that breaks all boundaries of race, ethnicity, social status, etc. Which leaves it all pretty open. :)

Yeah, as I think about it, I really like the idea of three separate incidents where they all kill themselves, but end up together. Before, otherwise, they had only met through brief encounters, getting a coffee, riding in an elevator, etc etc... right?

@Kitteh: Yeah! I especially love the idea of them all crossing paths in an elevator... Perhaps it shuts down and they all get to interact? Just for a brief second, however - notable enough for them to recall a reasonable amount of time later, but brief enough to keep it from transpiring into actually knowing one another. :lol:

My parents are both right handed, me and my siblings are all left-handed. We have maybe one left-handed ancestor and they aren't a close relative.
