oh that's scary Kitteh. we don't get toronadoes here too much... hurricanes however... we do get those

In all my time, I can't remember a single tornado warning. We've had watches, but never warnings in my area.

I miss storms...down south in Arkansas we would get some amazing storms...because we were in Tornado Alley as its called...but up here in Minnesota where I moved to...we get some pretty interesting blizzards...but we dont get many thunderstorms or bad winds :(

I like storms, but I don't like tornados. -nod-

I've been through more than one tornado warning, but most of them have been lifted pretty quickly. Even the one that involved actual tornados uncomfortably close to my house. (I wasn't home at the time. And my neighborhood lost a couple barns and an archery. And tree limbs, lots of tree limbs.)

I love the rain, the wind, the thunder/lightning....

I dont really have an opinion of tornados....havent really had one up close and personal yet

Kitteh was bothered by it last night I guess because I was alone, and in a newish house, in the dark, which I don't like. I've been involved in a tornado warning when I was down in Tenn. with a friend, and there was a tornado that came real close, the winds from it tore the siding off his house, blew out windows, threw the car, and uprooted a tree only about twenty feet from the house. -nod- But I wasn't alone, so it wasn't as bad.

Ours were last night, Woody.

we don't even get tornado watches all that often down here. you have to go towards dallas to get that. hurricanes and tropical storms are houston's thing

Northwest Arkansas had its fair share of those too Wings :p

Jeez, that's scary, Kitteh. :shock: Much as I'd love to see a tornado, I would much rather see one at a safe distance. Maybe through binoculars.

I've seen one full tornado in my life... and one mini tornado..

I've never had the pleasure of experiencing a hurricane...but that is definitely on my bucket list. ;)

I didn't get to see the tornado, 'cause it was an old farmhouse, with the cellar you went in, though the thingy, outside. Like Oz style, with no windows. I was depressed, 'cause then I wanted to see it, but he was like. No. Friends are jerks.

@Cica: It was just up in the clouds it didn't touch down or anything.

Hurricanes are not fun. The eye of Hurricane Ike passed straight over our house (meaning we got the worst of the storm before and after it) and it took part of our roof with it! We had some serious water damage on the inside of our house plus we lost our fence

Wings: Oh, okay. Pity. Whirlwinds can be fun. I remember one from when I was little. I was at my babysitter's house, outside, and watched as a whirlwind picked up a lot of straw from the field across the road, and proceeded to deposit it in the front yard.
