oh I don't have that big of a problem cuz my manager is my age.

I'm single, and I've reached the point where relationships scare the hell out of me because of how often I've been hurt and lied to...so I'm kind of stuck in my own rut...

I think there's nothing wrong with being single. But maybe I'm just silly. :roll:
My 34-year-old aunt once dated over thirty men in one year's time, and that pretty much showed her just how pathetic the men out there were. :lol: She's had the occasional committed relationship here and there, but she's always loved the single life 10,000 times more... She has plenty of friends, too, which I think help to occupy her time, y'know? :)

I'm close with my aunt. We've always been close, and I'm even going to the same college she went to. :lol: I've always taken her perspective into consideration, although some stuff I definitely disagree with her on. :ninja:

I can deal with fuck buddies...but seeing them after the whole one night stand has its own set of problems because people always fall for me easily...and it takes forever and a day for me to trust someone, let alone to "fall" for them...so they always get real nasty and such with me...which I take personally because I care too much and try to please everyone..

Magi you and I sound like kindred spirits. I don't let people in easily and so when someone has decided they are like really close to me, I'm still trying to figure out if I can ever trust them. I'm really beginning to wonder if I need counselling...

There is nothing wrong with being single or silly Facade. I've spent most of my time single. I'm not worse off, or better off. I just am. It bothers people that I am not in a relationship though and that's what I don't get. It shouldn't matter, what should matter is if you are happy with your situation. If not then fix it.

Magi: I have never tried the f-buddy thing...it kinda of scares me to be honest :sweat:

I hate being single...but at least its a sort of hurt I'm used to and comfortable with...you never get used to feeling betrayed and used by someone else though...I dont care how "Strong" you think you are. It just doesnt happen.

Wings, I've been told that I need therapy but I refuse. I'm a psychology major and can figure out my own problems without having someone else try and tell me who I am.

Panda, f-buddies are more trouble then they are worth...don't make the mistake I did and try a few...

@Magi:Yeah. That's my philosphy too. I'm always trying to deal with my own issues before I ever ask for help. So I don't think counselling will ever happen but I can't help but wonder if I need it.

@Panda: My aunt has the same perspective! People rarely have issues with her being single anymore, but... It comes up every so often. :P I think the single life is perfectly fine. I think I'll be single for some time, although part of the reason is because I'll never settle for whatever life throws at me. :ninja: I'm stubbornly picky! :illgetu:

Everyone needs it. Its part of being human I think Wings. Nobody is perfect, mentally or physically.

I know my issues, I'm extremely picky, and usually the people that pass what I want to find...end up disappointing me because mentally/relationship wise I want someone that will do for me what I would for them.
