Kat and Lill: It's more metaphorical than anything, and definitions vary. A character that everyone knows, like Batman or Spider-Man or Wonder Woman, is an A-lister. You know, the iconic ones. Or maybe the ones that get films, too, like Iron Man. The lesser-known characters could be called B-list, C-list, etc... It's very subjective, though.
