I don't think I'm gonna jump into the festivities, but I'll stick around for a bit. Feeling a bit better, although I still have one helluva headache, even after a bunch of Advil. :gonk:
I've been sick since I woke up Friday morning. :gonk: Actually, probably earlier than that, since I had symptoms... But yeah.
My usual sickness just includes a sore throat, perhaps a runny nose, sore joints... Never much more than that. I rarely have cough colds... Which I'm grateful for, since I hate coughing.
Hm... Maybe I WILL jump into the posting. :) I wanna use the word 'dance' if no one minds. :ninja:
I wanna reread the book Push by Sapphire for the rest of my days~
I seriously love the book. It's the book the movie Precious was based off of... I saw the movie in theaters when it first came out, and maaan. I loved it.
...I have eclectic, err, tastes, as you can see.
I wanna see if I can take an African American literature course in college (hoping they offer it!)... We had to read the book Beloved by Toni Morrison a few years back for school, and I swear I was the only one who, not only read it all the way through, but LOVED it. I'm convinced I'd love an African American lit class.
Beloved was a STRANGE STRANGE book Facade. I didn't hate it but i certainly didn't like it. Just didn't know what to make of it. But I did manage to tie the concep of rememory in beloved to the concept of double thought in 1984. i was proud of myself for that one.
This is a bit more of the whimsical, nonsensical Regina. Not exactly her best, nor her most meaningful. But definitely a fun song!
OH, and it's for the word 'dance'. :P
I wanna read more of Sapphire's and Morrison's works, to say the least. :P
