well is the school you going to relatively old facade? cuz the older schools don't normally have elevators in the dorms.

It's an older school, but a newer residence hall. And it's relatively up-to-date overall. ;)

Anyway, the hall I'm in has handicap access, so I'm HOPING that that means an elevator. :cry:

I don't think handicap access can exist without an elevator.

It can if the whole building is all on one floor, I think, Kat. But with a dorm, that's unlikely, so...

none of the dorms at my school have elevators. not even the newers ones.

all of my dorms and buildings have elevators.

not to me. all the academic buildings (even the really old ones) have elevators though.

Hm. I guess this stems back to the fact that I went to middle school in an old, three-story (if you count the basement) building with no elevator at all. We didn't have many handicapped students, but there were one or two wheelchair-bound girls who had to be carried up and down the stairs by other students. Not dignified at all.

I hope I can weasel my way into either the apartments or one of the houses next year... :ninja:
