Baked Oatmeal (a la Woody)

1/3 cup of apple sauce (or oil if you wanna be like that)
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1 egg
(mix together wet ingredients)

Add
2 cups of oatmeal (I used a hearty mix with flax seed, etc in it)
1 1/2 tsp. of baking powder
1/2 tsp. of salt
3/4 of a cup of milk
mix well (I also add spices like cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg...whatever I am feeling at the time)

**put fresh fruit likes peaches, strawberries, apples, etc etc on the bottom of a lightly greased baking dish
pour the oatmeal mixture over it
((I also add a drizzle of honey or extra cinnamon on top)

Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 25- 30 mins

A woman on a farm in Penn told me that one, after I had hers at her Bed and Breakfast. I modified it to suit myself of course, since her recipe was a bit plain.

i would say more black as a highlight color linny.
