I had a dream about Nathan the other night and well, it was pretty much Firefly related.. Odd, since that hasn't happened before.

@ Linn Dark Hunter books are big girl books because of the alarming amount of big hunky men folk, etc

We couldnt let you get away any longer without seeing Doc horrible

I've seen it before too, I liked it. It was just the paperback version for the Austen lover. So, naturally I liked it

i think i might try to read some more austen... i only made it through (and own) 'pride and prejudice'... i just have to get out of my scifi/fantasy phase... i am so into that genre right now... i only have 1 more sookie stackhouse book left... i just can't stop reading them, dammit!

I am a big Persuasion fan.... but if I were you, I would read Emma.... it's a fun one. Especially because I can't get Clueless out of my head when reading it. And, it's ok to be in the middle of a sci fi/ fantasy phase. I was trying to get out of mine by rereading Dorian Grey.....

Hi guys! Thought I'd stop by for a minute, and I see you talking about my favorite author!

Persuasion is OK, but I'd read Emma first. I also liked Sense and Sensibility.

I love Persuasion.... I go through my moments where I HAVE to read a certain Austen book and then watch all the remakes >.<

I own two versions of Persuasion. Three (technically) of Pride n Prejudice, Emma, Mansfield Park, Sense and Sensiblity... I don't have a dvd of Northanger Abbey... But soon I will have another version of Emma.
Dorian Grey is a good one. I was rereading it because I noticed that they made a new movie in Britain that will come out in American theaters soon.

And yes, Clueless is Emma........... very very much so

@ Linn, I think I was too
Quote:
"Personal size and mental sorrow have certainly no necessary proportions. A large bulky figure has as good a right to be in deep affliction, as the most graceful set of limbs in the world..."
That's my favorite quote from Austen.

@Kat, it's a good start. Pride and Prejudice is the most used and assimilated into our culture. I mean, almost every other plot in romantic comedies is Pride n Prejudice-y..... (and love ) Bridget Jones.

Sleep Linn? No, never heard of that... This is the person who was chatting with me at like, 4 am? lol
