Linnea: Great read. And Katniss is about the polar opposite of Bella Swan, which is awesome. It's a trilogy, but the third book doesn't come out 'til this summer. I don't want to go into the second book for fear of spoilers, though.
Same perspective, yes. The first two books are written in first person (and present tense!) through Katniss Everdeen's eyes, and I expect the third will be the same way. The second book is essentially an extension of the first, yeah, though they are two distinct novels. It's a trilogy, a story in three acts. *shrugs*
i threw stuff in a crock pot this afternoon so it was an easy dinner of pork tenderloin, carrots and taters... i love carrots! they are my favorite veggie!!.... i'm so lame lol... but, hey, i love my vegetables :)
i am watching 'remember the titans' at the moment and playing attack of the fangirls... just waiting for time to pass... *sigh* i live such an exciting life
so you liked 'wicked lovely'? i didn't hate it... but i just wasn't totally psyched about it either... i did like lots of the characters though... they were really original :)
It's pretty good. Got to burn a witch today. That was fun. Now i am eating Asian rice with chicken and eggs. Good eats!! And listening to Emilie Autumn's "Swallow."
Linnea: Ooh, that sounds tasty! Gotta love crock pots! XD
Yeah, I liked it. Still just getting into the urban fae, so that's part of it, and it really did surprise me by not taking the obvious route, as far as Keenan and Aislinn were concerned. You're right, it's not the most exciting series of all time, but it was reasonably unconventional, and I plan to follow it. :)
Mehi, you haven't heard of Hunger Games or Wicked Lovely? :)
Cica, I have heard of "Wicked Lovely" but not "Hunger Games". "Wicked Lovely" is suppose to come before a book I am currently reading. Brb, my books decided to randomly fall off my shelf.
Linnea: Aislinn's name is great! Also, Donia's. (Come to think of it, she might be my favorite character of all of 'em.) I'll let you know when I read the next book, yeah. :)
Sara: I was beginning to think we chased you away! XD

To keep the Districts suppressed, the Capitol selects 24 tributes -- children between the ages of 12 and 18, two from each District, one boy and one girl -- to compete in its annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death in a booby-trapped arena. The books follow Katniss and Peeta, Tributes from the poor coal-mining District 12, through the games, wherein Katniss

There is also a love triangle, which I think Sara will appreciate. ;)
As I was saying "Wicked Lovely" is the ook the back of my book "Ink Exchange" says comes before it. Or something like that. I havent gotten around to reading "Wicked Lovely" yet though.
Linn, I absolutely adore Emilie. I once had all her songs on my computer. Then it crashed. I havent put the songs back on my new computer yet, but I need to. Marry Me was awesome!!!
