@Cica >>> YES! Thank you

Linn, I sing that song every time I eat animal crackers.

@Nicole, yaaah, but last minute papers always come out so much better... there is a real sense of urgency.

@Nicole: Oh great, a conference! Good luck with that. What kind of conference is it? I presented at a Tolkien Conference @ Uvm.

<<I think my haiku is done, it's not good, but it sure is about cheese.

Linn, I'm pretty sure there aren't any other animal cracker songs. The only other pop culture reference to an animal cracker that I know of is in Armageddon...

Nice, well good luck with your presentation then!

The Tolkien was academic too.... just you know, uber geeky academic. My Old English Professor hosts it every year.

thanks. yeah my teacher thinks it was, I'm still shocked.

that's sounds cool. I'm starting to learn Tolkien was actually cooler than I already think he is.

Stinky cheddar cheese

A luscious limburger sigh

Heaven in a wedge

@Nicole, yah congrats on that! Obviously if you were chosen your paper must have been really something special.

and Tolkien is pretty damn cool. After taking a few old english classes, I learn to appreciate his poetry and style a lot more, it is very much like Anglo- Saxon poetry in meter and alliteration, etc. I love it.

Yeah. all I had ever read before was of course the Lord of the Rings and I learned in my english class that he's actually an anglo-saxon expert. Hopefully I'll get to read some of him as i get farther into my degree.

A day didn't go by when translating Beowulf, that my professor didn't mention Tolkien in one way or another. XP

Thanks Linn! It took all of 2 minutes.... But still, I liked having an "assignment" again. (Sad, isn't it?)

It's not for everyone. Though, Linn, I think you'd like it. The Hobbit is a nice thing to start with. It would keep you on your fantasy kick.

You should see (and you will see, I guess in March) my book collection. I have one shelf that is just various literature. You know, books of a more scholarly nature. Then my other bookshelf is mostly (98%) fantasy/ folklore etc

Where are you going to school, if you don't mind me asking, Nicole?
