BTW you should see the Japanese tribute themed cupcakes I made...... Japanese Cherry blossoms with a rising sun in the middle of them... it's rows of cupcakes put together, and they are decorated with only jelly beans

for my cousin's wedding my aunt made her wedding cake (her shower cake too) and it had plum blossoms make out of that cake paste stuff that you can eat... like pure sugar flowers... i'll show you a pic....

Uh yesterday? It's for a jellybelly contest... I WAS going to be ambitious and make Van Gough's Starry Night...but after 3 massive bags of jellybeans, I STILL didn't have enough blues and blacks for the sky.... And, I was laying out and graphing out the jellybeans for like 2 hours when I came to that conclusion *sigh*.

So, I winged it, and made cherry blossom branches and yah....... It's not the best, but it was pretty. The Starry night would have been EPIC

and that sounds really really pretty! are you talking about fondant?


OOOOOH, she is goooood. That's a great first attempt at that sort of cake decorating! I've never used fondant...but I want to, so I can do stuff like that.

Oooh gum paste! Ok. Well, similar to fondant...but not something you cover an entire surface with like fondant.

And I did take pictures, I just didnt get to upload them yet. Was busy today and lazy tonight XD hehehe

I also did this funkah diamond design with jellybeans on the cupcakes I brought to Tom's last night. He made me, Kristen, and Tanya (his and Vin and Kendall's friend from college) tacos and we had beer and cupcakes too XD it was nice

yes... she made the flowers out of the paste... the rest is fondant i believe
