I have read and seen Nicholas Nickleby.... two adaptations in fact, lol.
I haven't read What the Dickens, but I've read other works by Maguire WHO lives super close to Burlington, and who I missed meeting by like, 15 mins!!!

I haven't seen it, no Mel. It's a book too right? I might have to look into it.

i've only read, 'wicked' and 'son of witch' by maquire... i'd like to read his 'confessions of an ugly step sister' though... it looks good

Yeah, it is. One of my friends is letting me borrow the books after spring break. I don't want to see it until I read, I was just wondering if it was any good. It looks like it could be really good. That and I just adore mythology.

Ah yes, I have seen that one. It was one of his first movies, no? ((His acting tells me so)) I really liked that version, Alan Cummings was super funny and random. And we finally got to see his highland fling at the end!!! lol.
You should watch Bleak House, that is a great new Dickens adaptation. Long, though.

I LOVE Ugly Stepsister!!

And Mel, I love mythology as well! I grew up clutching my sister's copy of Greek Mythology, and reread the stories dozens of times! I'm into Near Eastern Mythology and Norse Mythology too. Oh, and Celtic, of course!

Oooh, that too. Which is why American Gods is interesting. Wait... that or Anansi Boys. Either way, the same character is in either book. Both by Neil Gaimon....

I should be cleaning right now, but I am not.... *sigh* and I am to tired to start cleaning I think. I feel so lazy right now.

Wings: Neverwhere is great! And probably my favorite by him...
He should be on your list of things to eventually read Linn, which I know is growing by the minute!

He really is good. I loved Neverwhere though I did admit it was rather predictable

I think Anansi Boys surprised me most. Granted most books don't really surprise me. There are too many conventions in writing that are followed. I can still be entertained though...

There is a game I have been playing nonstop. I LOVE it.

The one I posted on my Fb, Robot Unicorn Attack - A Free Online Flash Game From Adult Swim

It is full of magical rainbow silliness.

Yeah most books don't surprise me so when a book does I'm generally shocked. One series I will admit that managed it is the Pendragon series by DJ Machale, I never knew what he was going to throw at us next

Wings: I might have to check that out then. There are very few books that surprise me, but the same can be said about movies too, but the ones that do, really stick with me.

It is so amazing. I can't stop playing it. It cheered me up so much when I was in a bad mood the other day. I miss adult swim...

Movies I actually tend to get surprised more if only because I have a brain to pick up on written foreshadowing but with movies I tend to just let the story carry me. I love my ability to predict stuff in books though and sometimes it's so random

I have an example but it may be a spoiler for you depending on how into Harry Potter you are
