I'm doing oil in class, but I'm a watercolor painter mostly. I'm very much a creative writer. I can't write a 5 pages paper worth crap, but I can hammer out a novel with a smile on my face in a months time.

dunno. haven't tried that. I've drawn anthro cat and chibis and anime though....

So... I have this little story that I'm working on.. well actually the story is done it's just the illustrating part that I'm working on now and I'm really not feeling it. But I have the characters drawn up and a few generic anime faces and such. Pretty simple.. but I just don't really want to draw out as many pages as it is for this story. Right now, it's small scale, just for my girls for a Christmas present but if I can come up with some more ideas and maybe someone to illustrate them, I'd try to get them published and of course the illustrator would have a part of the profit.. if there was any.. and if not then at least they would have their name in a published book and at least get a copy of it? I dunno if that sounds good tho...

Yeah it's a children's book. :) I want to come up with a few more ideas cause I'm pretty sure that no publishing agency would want just one book when there is the otion of having a full series of them. I mean, who makes money off a single book like that? But.. I need more ideas. I have to channel my daughters again. haha. I can scan the story (it's really short) and the pictures that I have come up with so far (when I go back to work again on monday) if you want to see what I have?

good point. only random children's books become popular anyways. the series are good though.

Ok then. I will definitely have all the stuff with me on monday and I'll send it out early, so it'll actually be just late sunday night there, I think. Then, maybe you can feel some kinda aura or something from it and feel inspired to draw as well? I only did the first page but, it can definitely be redone if you get a feeling that it's something that you'd want to work on. :D It's so awesome. I'm gonna listen to little kids conversations and see if something else just hits me like a ton of bricks like this story idea did. o.O

yay! this is gonna be fun! children's books are great. I can't write them at all, but I always wanted to illustrate the one i wrote in my creative writing class back in high school.

It'll be awesome if you like it :D I't kinda goofy and my hubby says that it's dorky and funny. But I hope that it's decent. I mean.. I just really need more ideas but I think if I just sit back and don't think about anything in particular then maybe more ideas will come to me. I actually have a few more ideas in mind already but I haven't got the conversations worked out yet. I gotta think about it like how a kid would.. hmmm...

my story was about a cat who got bored while her kid was at school and ran out a door that was left open and played outside. it was really bad though because i'm best suited to write about adult themes.

LOL. I have to talk with my daughter again. She's such a goof. I wish I could stay up more on the week days but it's 1am when she gets home.. and I have to be up at 4am to get ready for work during the week.. I'll send all I have to you and you let me know what you think about it... :D

Yes they sure are. Makes things difficult. I don't usually get to talk to her til the weekend :S It is pretty much still dark outside and the sun doesn't even THINK about coming up til around 730.. so I guess it could be considered night still.. haha... And I don't think that I'm gonna make it this time.. tho... it's almost 5pm there! I didn't know it was so late here!!

Hmm... just have to be really... simple. I mean, have you read some children's books? It's like.. DUDE... I could have come up with that. They might be half a page long... TOTAL! Like they just threw some random words on there and they are making bank on that?! No way! How is that even fair.. lol

I haven't read anything but dr. seus in a long time and that's pretty much all I have at home.

Oh well Dr. Seuss is like... the Odessy compared most of the books out now. I mean you can get away with only two sentences on a page? What kind of "writing" is that? Really???

Yeah but I have had a drink or two so it makes perfect sense to me.. and it's hilarious :P And it's cute.. but apparently she is getting in trouble at school cause she is giving the teacher an attitude... she makes faces and shakes her butt at the teacher when she tells her to do something and then laughs when the teacher scolds her. LOL... what a punk, huh?
