For such big cities, that's really pretty close!
I'll bet from some places in Sante Fe you can even see the balloons up in the air!

there's a train that runs between them. and santa fe is actually a small city. huh, you might be right. I'd like to see if I can see the balloons. probably since santa fe is higher, but the mountains making seeing far in the distance hard.

We took the Sandia Tram to the top of the mountain when we were there.
You could really see far! (But that was in Alburquerque...)

It's a big rock outcropping.
I remember I had some roadside geology books that I was using when we made that trip.
It was fun to drive down the road and have the book tell me what I was seeing geological-wise.

*hands dev a handkerchief*
What kind of pies?
I like cherry pies...
I just love rocks!
I would have done rock as the backsplash, but I gave in and said we'd go glass accents. I have to be happy with the huge granite rocks counters.

Oh, I like the new avie, Kat!
Very good use of the Yumeh hat!
I have tons of rocks...both regular rocks and some gemstones that I've picked up along the way...
I have a few huge amethyst cathedrals too...

I really wanted to use the hat since I have a similar hat myself.
I have a lot of quartz and its various types. smokey quartz is my favorite. I tend not to like already cut and polished gemstones. I like my rocks natural.

I have a really good phantom crystal.
It's quartz crystal that has a crystal growing inside it.
So you have a crystal inside of a crystal... it's something really different.

I had a little business a few years ago, and I would buy them from different places, wholesale.
I kept the best rocks for myself, and sold the others...
I think I got the crystal from a place called Bitners.

I've never been anywhere where you could find crystals...
Around here we just have limestone...but the limestone doesn't even have any fossils in it.

I've only found one quartz, I think it is anyway. I don't know the difference between quartz and crystal, to me, it looks like it could be either because it is colorless.
