Yay! Baylor won!
They're onto the championship next Tuesday.
I didn't catch what the final score was though...
There it is...59 to 47. They won by 12 points.

I dunno. I didn't mind HS. Ours wasn't clique-y like middle school was, where I only hung out with really one group of friends. Everyone mingled in high school, and it was nice.
I dunno who Baylor is
Also Hey jean! zephi!

I'm sure all the cliques were in my high school, but I didn't pay a lot of attention to them. I had my friends and the other people didn't bother us. I don't think most people were that against intermingling. Where I noticed cliques the most was in colorguard. a small team like that, all that estrogen and drama. there were bound to be people taking sides.
anyway, I actually liked hs.

Same :D Our main thing was chorus. It was the longest class of the day, every day. 1 1/2 hours since it was during the lunch block. It was amazing since everyone co mingled....Jocks, art students, theater peoples, everyone! Plus it was 200 students strong for the main chorus. 40 for chamber choir and 20 for camerata.
And I only did color guard briefly. I mostly just did art for them since one of my good friends was their captain. I recall painting 7 HUGE backdrops for one of their shows. It came out pretty neat. It was a mountain winter back drop with the aurora in the sky.

my guard never used props or backgrounds. they're a lot of hassle for making and setting up before each show and often don't add that much.

I guess they did with their winter guard shows, since those were inside. The spring ones were always outside in the football field in the good weather.

that's generally how things work. I think I've only seen a few schools use floors or backdrops in a marching show.

They were always VERY theatrical with our schools color guard. They did a lot of competitions. So did pretty much EVERY one in the arts. They were well funded since the parents set up special funds and fundraisers. Our plays were big, our chorus was phenomenal, our band was top notch. It was nice.

my school was very big so even the arts did well, but they certainly weren't the focus. half the school didn't know what colorguard was or that we had them even though we'd do recruitment in the cafeteria between seasons. we'd take rifles and sabres and spin them in the cafe and show a video of our latest show.

Ooooh, that sounds all fancy and nice :D
I liked spinning the rifles more than the sabres.

I was terrified of the sabre. rifle was my thing. flag is okay, but rifle is so powerful.

I think that's what I liked about it. But yah, one wrong move and you have a heavy piece of wood to the face.
>.< Why did that sound so dirty. In my head it sounded fine.

Baylor is a Methodist college in the Dallas area.
Their women's basketball team was in the Final Four, and now they're going on to play the championship game next Tuesday against Notre Dam.
Their key player is probably going to be on the Olympics women's basketball team.
At least, that's what the talking heads say...
My high school was really small. There were only 28 of us in my class, and we were the largest class ever in the school.
We had a decent chorus and band though (I was in both).
There were 2 cliques for the females: The goody-goody's, and the "wild" ones.
I was in the middle...friends with people from both sides, but not a true member of either side. (We had moved there when I was 13, so I was the "outsider").
