why are moms so nosy about their daughter's love lives?

i'm not totally sure, but in my mom's case it's because she is selfish and wants grandkids and she thinks that by asking me about it all the time and making comments i find severely annoying and intrusive that it will push me harder to find someone to make babies with... i don't even live in my own place and i work crap jobs and have no prospects at the moment... leave me the fark alone, woman!

maybe yours just doesn't want you to end up alone? or she wants grandbabies too? it could be many things

I think my mom doesn't want me to end up like a hermit. she thinks I'm unhappy or weird or something because I have no interest in people. It's not my fault I've never felt more than a twinge of desire for another person and never want kids.

it was brutal. on my way to New mexico now though. week long vacation time to get there though.

the sort of vacation that has me sleeping in the same tiny hotel room as my parents is not a vacation. this couch is not nearly far enough away from that bed.

Oy, ok true enough, that's not as fun. I recall a weekend trip me and my mum and aunt had to share a room, and that wasn't so fun. My mom was sick, so she made all sorts of crazy noises that she blamed her medicine on (for conking her out).

my dad snores loudly. he denied it of course and he likes to say it could have been my mom. both of them are known to snore.

I think this was made worse by her strong medicine. Like, at one point in the night, I sat up and said, "Omg, really?" And my aunt started laughing her butt off. She didn't realize I couldn't sleep either cause we were both just laying there.

lol. both my parents fall asleep instantly, so I'm the only one that has to suffer through snoring.
