What RenFaire do you go to?

That's the New York Ren Faire, next weekend, I'll be at the King Richard's Faire in Mass. I don't know what I'm wearing yet. Depends on if I feel motivated to make a new bodice this week. As it is, I'm sewing someone a mantle and bloomers :P

We go to the Texas one. It should be coming up really soon now.

Generally we like to take the RV and stay a few night.
But lately it's been so dry, and the place where the camping is is like a dry grass field.

With all the drunks starting campfires, I worry that there will be a wildfire and it will just consume us in the blink of an eye!

Last time we went I was so nervous I didn't sleep at all that night.
We haven't gone back since.

So it's a catch-22. If you go when it's wet, then the fields where you camp is all mud, and the RV would get stuck.
Go when it's dry and you can get burned up!

It's not.
That's why we haven't been back since then.

So it's been a couple years since we've gone.

The time before that it was that way.

But it's hard to gauge what it's going to be when we plan to go.

I've heard that was an issue there. I've never heard of any fire started because of fairs around here

at least it's not totally droughty now.

There may have been fires, but I don't think it's burnt up any of the RV's (yet).

I don't think I've spent that much gold. but I'm not sure. maybe 3k or something? I'm not counting.

I've been saving for the event!

I never save for events. I'm too lazy or just don't realize an event is coming. I never was amazing at saving.
