Lol! One did, across the road in front of our house. It's already cut up and moved.

The winds are still all whippy. They will be all day. But, even with all the insane winds the other day, we didn't lose power. I still did things with my friend that I would have done sans power, like play board games and sit by the fire.

Honestly, we lucked out as far as somethings go. If Sandy came just a bit further north, we would have been worse off.....as it is though, we got the worst of the swells because of the water being pushed up into the Sound.....so it's good that my friend came here to stay, cause he lives on the shore.

Did the power go off because of the windy times Linny?

I kinda felt silly during the storm, since I was entertaining a friend as well....I made cupcakes. But I kept out an ear for the *cracking* noise of a tree falling >.<

It fell a house up from me. Stuff fell in our back woods, since there is a lot of acreage out there, but no where near the house.

It's kinda crazy, in a town in CT and NY, fires started ( I don't know how ) and went out of control because of the high winds....I know the one in New York burnt down like, 100 something houses.

fires start because transformers blow and electrical type things. that's really scary and terrible about the fires though. I hadn't heard that.

:3 I just didn't know how these particular ones started...but I was guessing as much.

I always hated that part about hurricaines, when it made trees fall. That's scary. >.> Especially fi you have a lot of trees around your house.

I've never been scared by that, but it never seemed much of a danger where I am. there are trees, but they don't seem to fall much. good trees I guess.

Haha. Go out and pat the trees on the bark and thank them for not falling ;)

actually, there aren't many trees left. most died in the drought of the past two years.

Yikes. Droughts are bad. We had one a few years ago, and the reservoir up the road pretty much dried out. It sucks cause, we have two wells, and they're very deep...but we're on a rock shelf pretty much, so any drought effects our water very quickly.

You did? Lol. I handed (some ) candy out and my nephew came over....also my aunt and uncle to borrow our generator since they won't have power for a while..

this last summer poured rain on houston a lot so things got better, but because of the year before, there were all those fires in texas. I can't imagine how sucky it would be if it affected your water supply.

They had trick or treating on campus during work hours from 9am-5pm. I didn't trick or treat much, but even a handful of candy is better than none.
