wow...you make holidays sound stressful...

They actually are...
I prefer to veg in my own house rather than travel.

I think it's because my Dad expected us to go there every single year without fail.
AT Christmas time, and that is the absolutely WORST time to fly anywhere.
Especially if you're going up north.

One time we drove there in a blizzard.
It was nuts.

I really like holidays like christmas. there's so much to do and it's a little stressful and madness, but in a fun sort of way. It's a very short drive to where we always spend the holidays. about two hours, though less now since my dad has developed a lead foot. sometimes we go visit my mom's family too, but that's very near. yey 20 minutes away.

Well, this year we aren't going anywhere.
They're coming here.

But I do wish I could go to my sister's.
They're going to have a tough time this year.

yes, it would be nice to go to your sisters. it must be really tough for holidays.

I always like driving and traveling in the winter. Any time really. Even driving thru the blizzards, there is something fun and exciting about it. Warm coffee or cappuccino from a gas station, cool tunes on the radio. I always find it to be fun. Holidays don't stress me out for some reason.

holidays shouldn't really be stressful, but that doesn't sound like a fun drive at all!

It actually sounds like tons of fun to me. I don't know why but... when I drive and the weather is nice and the sun is shiuning and it's just plain beautiful, I tend to start nodding off. So rain or storms or something keep me awake and interested. Otherwise it's just not good. D:

I think it's fun to watch rainstorms from the car as long as I'm not driving, but it's really not fun to drive in. I think sunny days aren't the most beautiful either, but it's still the best driving weather.

Sure for driving, but I can't stay awake. I get really bored. And I like going through the mountains, I hate when other people drive though. I have so many nightmares of other people driving us off the mountain. So that keeps me awake as well. I just like the whole road trip thing. coffee, snacks, music, friends or family with you, going to do something awesome. I guess it's also because I've never had a bad road trip or had to go to a funeral *knocks hard on wood* so I've only got good memories.

I have some good memories of road trips, but i think they've become more and more annoying as I get older. it doesn't help that I can't sleep in cars.

I don't usually sleep when other people are driving either. Unless I'm in the backseat. In the passenger seat I feel like it's part of my job in the passenger position to be awake for the driver. It's kind of annoying when other people are in the passenger seat when I'm driving and don't have that same idea. But... driver gets to pick the music :D Which was the most awesome part when I was on a family trip. I didn't have to listen to crap music anymore XD

I take my ipod fully charged and if that's dead, I have my computer too.

I like to look at the scenery as well. I also like driving at night :D

I like driving somewhere you can see the stars. but new mexico looks best in the sunlight so you can see all the texture of the land.

Oh yeah, driving in the south in the summer at night with the top off my jeep = the best night time driving. Well, as long as it's not raining or anything like that.

I can imagine that driving with the top off in the rain would be most unpleasant...

It mostly stinks because the seats get wet and then they would mold, so I usually didn't take the top off unless it was going to be sunny for like 3-5 days in a row. If not then I'd just take the windows off.

well, it rarely rains here.

Yah. Driving in a jeep with the top off isn't so great when you get stuck in weather situations.

Mainly because I can't see at night...

I like it when other people drive at night and I can look out the window.

Whenever one of the models is asked a question or something and they give that blank stare, you hear crickets chirping...
