i tend to only watch them during the marathons though

I have it on my DVR schedule...that way there's always some mindless drivel to watch when I feel like vegging out...

I've only managed to catch the show two or three times, but I know what you mean.
I always imagine I'm hearing crickets when Ian McKellen does the "uh duh" face to Pippin in Fellowship of the Ring... it's already a golden moment, but crickets make things special.

on a side note, i am really freaked out right now... my car alarm just went off for no reason... or was there?! i'm also home alone so i am that much more nervous. i went outside because i wasn't sure if it was mine, but it really was... i looked around but didn't see anyone... i looked in my car, took out some cd's i left in the console and then locked it up and went back inside... i hope it wasn't anyone trying to break in my car... i love my car
do car alarms go off randomly sometimes?

car alarms go off for no reason all the time.

still makes me nervous since i don't trust a couple of my neighbors and it has never happened before

i talked to my roommate... she thinks it's weird too, so i don't think it's nothing

it's dark so i couldn't' tell if anyone tried to used a coat hanger or anything to jimmy the lock...besides... i didn't want to stay outside all by myself if there really was someone out there

I don't think you need to get too worked up over it. your car is still there. very few people take locked cars from driveways because of alarms. usually if it's from a driveway, it's while the keys are still in the car, like when you're taking in groceries. otherwise it's typically to take from parking lots.

I have been working! I ate dinner an hour later than usual because I've been working since the second I finished with class!

It's never a bad idea to just ask the cops to do a patrol in the area.
If you hear any other car alarms go off....even if it isn't yours, I'd do that.

We have a "neighborhood" cop. He lives just down the block.
I think he gets called all the time.

if i hear an alarm again i am definitely calling the cops

You just moved in...have you heard anything about problems from any of your neighbors?

the people down stairs seem to like drama and not very well off... but that doesn't mean they'll resort to thievery... doesn't mean they won't either... the neighbors next door are potheads but my roommate knows them and doesn't think they'd do anything... the people across the street are two older couples... not sure...although i did hear anything else i was going to go down stairs and see if they heard anything or saw anything

ahhhh, almost done with my homeworks due tomorrow. after that, I will just do a few more sketches for my next painting that i intend to do most of over break. though I have lots of short stories to critique over break too and of course nanowrimo. *siiigh* why is the approach of the end of the semester like this?
