drawers are like that. you never go the bottom, so things just stay there.
He called it deep frying anyway. but he did not do it in an oven anyway. you shouldn't burn yourself, woody...

I've seen those crazy huge fryers. Scary! I'd never ever drop a huge bird into a vat of boiling grease. Cause I'd die..knowing me.....
Yah! It's a narsty burn too! It's scarring up on my hand in spite of my taking care of it and all...
And yeah...I have no space for stuff, and now I know why.

I think this was the worst burn I've gotten...other than my second degree burns from the sun...oy. Sun poisoning....not so good. I had a fever for days......my skin was just one giant blister. bleh. If you're pale, don't be stupid like me and forget sunscreen at the beach all day.
Yup!! It's a good way of purging and figuring out what I need to buy for myself now that there are holiday sales ;)
So, hows the school stuff going?

Well, my hand got stuck between the pie and the top of the oven, and I didn't wanna ruin the pie, so I had to get my hand out carefully...
And lucky!! I even got a sunburn this past October! Unheard of!!! It's kinda sad how easy I burn in the sun. >.<

Psssh. Pie over body parts any day
I'm outside all the time in the summer! So...it makes me mad that it effects me so! Working at camp tempered me a bit since I was out EVERY day...but I still burnt unless I had sunscreen on. I had a wicked farmers tan too, since we couldn't, even as counselors, wear tank tops >.<

but what if it makes you unable to eat the pie?
I hate how camps won't let you wear short shorts or tank tops sometimes. the work camp/mission trip I did twice with my church was like that. it was even stricter than school guidelines. have you ever gotten a watch or flip flop tan or fun things like that?

But I did...and it was SO good. Om nom nom :3
I've had both a watch and a flip flop tan, but only once with the watch....I haven't worn a watch since high school I don't think. I have a nice one, but eh. I hate em cause I always glance at it when I have it on, and I don't need to know the time THAT bad. S'what phones are for now ;)
Yah! They didn't want us to wear flip flops either, which are my footwear of choice. Soon as it's nice out, I'm rocking them. This was just a girl scout camp, but I understand why they had the dress rules.. It was more for safety. No flip flops (hikes? yikes) and you had to wear socks with your shoes ( easier to spot ticks...which is an issue because of lymes disease) tank tops was pretty much because of sunburns.....little kids are bad at reapplying sunscreen.

but what if!!?
my phone is my watch too. I was just asking because my colorguard director once had the most wicked shoe tan you've ever seen. practicing in shorts and tenis shows all summer...it looked her legs were brown and she was wearing white socks.
we had t-shirts to wear at the girl scout camp I worked at I think. but we didn't wear them every day. no, I don't think there was a dress code really. but we sure as hell didn't hike. it was set up at a school. played games outside, did crafts inside. it was a week long twilight camp. I worked at a lot of those.

*whispers* But I did. mmmmm. That 'what if I didn't' interchange can just go on and on ;)
Ha. Yah. I've seen some awesome tans before. My friend Amy worked at Yellowstone as a park ranger, and so she could wear these odd shoe like sandals on some of her hiking leads with guests, so she had a crazy criss-crossed strap tan on her feet.
Ours was all summer long, and a day camp in the middle of the woods. We had some great hiking trails, and we would even do camp wide hikes to this awesome old cemetery a few miles away, eat lunch, and hike back. We had a pool, a huge field for various games and events, lots of raised camp structures, and firepits all over with different names...we had a cool raised swamp walk.....
---------- Post added 11-29-2012 at 09:39 PM ----------
ALSO! Creepy!!! I googled pictures for that camp, annnnnnd I'm in the 3rd picture on the search for a hippy day dress up! >.< That was yeaaaars ago.

that sounds awesome to work as a park ranger!
I've never even heard of a girl scout camp that's all summer long. Rarely are they longer than a week! I want to go to that camp.
haha! that's kinda cool!

Until the people are trying to pet the bison and mountain goats >.< I've heard a LOT of interesting stories from her. She used to work at Glacier Ntl Park, then she went to Yellowstone.
Really? All the ones in Ct are.... I know the themed programs within the camp are 1 or 2 weeks long....but the camp itself was the entire time. I ran a two week camp wide Ren Faire program. It was great. By the end of the week, we had a faire in the middle of that large field, complete with counselor jousting and a magician came in who specifically works at Ren Faires. He used to date my friend so we pulled a reduced rate favor :D

why are people so stupid?
All the camps I know of are just go when you want. sign up for times or whatever, except the week long summer camps which are never at a camp ground. there were programs, but they were for workshops and games competitions.

I dunno. They just are >.< Oh man, she was working there the other summer when those two different grizzly bear attacks happened.... Her boyfriend was on the recovery team with the helicopter on the last one. He was a fire specialist, so he flew in and assessed/ set fires/ controlled them/ etc.... Kinda a neat job.
Oh....These are more camp like I guess. They do earn girl scout patches for various things we include, so some weekly themes are based around those.

wow, some crazy shit. sounds like a cool job and a helpful one too.
there are only three girl scout camps near home. two are small ones connected. the other one is on a lake and has three barrack like buildings that house about twenty and have a shower and kitchenette. I've done a few longer camps there to earn badges and do a photography camp. they were still only a week I think.

Yah, he got to fly out in helicopters all the time, but had to stay at some wildfires for weeks at a time to assess the damage see if it needed controlling.
Oh. I dunno.I guess all the ones in our state are pretty much the same. The offer the different programs, and you can sign up for one or two, or all of em. And there are a LOT here. I mean, my state is small, so I can claim any of them are nearby ;)

still doesn't sound too bad.
weird. camp here is pretty lame. the boy scout camps are cool. river rafting, woods, and hikes, but the camps here are really aimed at elementry school children because very close to no one stays in past then.

Really? Our camp was filled with middle schoolers and even high schoolers. And I wish we did all those things!! Man, it's why I stopped being a girl scout when I was still a brownie.... So, yah very young. I was jealous of all the cool stuff my brother did.
We did do cool things like work with the Yale rowing team on the river, and the girls went out and did that.....If there was fire stuff, yah. totally didn't trust them, so that was all us.

hm, my younger bros eagle ceremony is the 4th...
but yeah, my troop was the only that made it though, probably the only ones that made it to high school, in our council, district, thing. we were 7 I think. no one even thought girl scouts was past brownies and you're stupid if you're still it, like why are you hanging our with 3rd graders even now?
rowing? that sounds hard. I wouldn't want to do it.

especially considering it took two years for him to do the project itself because he was so lazy. the project itself usually takes a day. getting everything done beforehand is the only trouble.
