Well, I wasn't in school during the summer.
I only went to one summer session.

There were a few times I remember laying out in the sun on the quad...
(I actually had a bikini body at that time)

it's still summer when the first semester starts though right.

Well, September in North Dakota is cold.
We've even had snow then.

We usually started right after Labor Day.

I don't remember when that is, but school has always started in august for me...I think. I don't pay attention to these things.

Well, back when I went to school, we were on the quarter system, not the semester system.

So I think it started later for that reason.

that's weird. but I hear some schools are still like that.

Most of them are on the semester though.

A quarter really wasn't that much time to learn stuff I think.
But what the heck...it worked for me!

I guess it did. I think I wouldn't like it though, except for those most hated classes you want to be quickly over with.

I love history!

I like history NOW.

But THEN...it was boring, and I hated having to memorize those stupid dates.

I can't memorize a single date, but I get by. I love reading history fiction and non fiction. or at least, I don't hate it.

I enjoy reading it now too.

For the fiction stuff though, I at least need to know ahead of time that the framework is true. I wouldn't want them to make up historical facts.
