you know... this miyazaki movie, 'whisper of the heart', is really good and i love it and i can watch it over and over... but it doesn't have any of the magical/spiritual stuff like almost all other miyazaki movies... i wonder what it is that makes this a good movie?? i just can't put my finger on it

I love Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle. They're the only Miyazaki films I've seen... Besides, well... Kiki's Delivery Service, but that was WAAAY long ago. :lol:
Actually, I saw Spirited Away in fourth grade and Kiki's Delivery Service probably in third grade... Didn't see Howl's Moving Castle until much later.

Who knows? It happens. All I know is I recognized the cats in that video, and.. well.. had to look it up.

but i was thinking, the only thing that both those movies/stories have in common is the character 'the baron' (the cat)... you don't really learn much about him at all... it's almost two different characters really
