Hahaha, sorry. I randomly get that in my head at work. One of those, "I shouldn't be singing this" moments

And aw, the love is everywhere! Even though it looks like Jacky and Linn wanna kick my ass, their avis are so intimidating!

Kitteh is a bit scary too, sorry I forgot you in that. I likes it. I think I need to be a bit more intimidating. Hard with a name like Nymph....

Cica: happens far too often.

Also, when I hear a phrase or sometimes just a word, it reminds me of a song/ movie that I have to quote or sing.

Psycho? Clown? *gulp* lol

Woody: It's way too easy to get songs stuck in your head.

And yeah, your name isn't very intimidating, though you could always pursue an evil fae look or something!

Lol, this is true Cica. "I thought faeries did nice things...like granting wishes!"

"Heh, shows what you know!" (( See, that made me think of The Labyrinth! I love it))

I am not sure if I like creepy, but I dunno. I will see how it grows on me... at least with this one anyway.

Woody: See also urban fantasy fae. The current trend is to be old-school, I think...

woody, i am reading the sookie stackhouse books... and it's not just about vampires and weres... there are also fairies in it... and they aren't all nice either... and as cica knows from reading 'wicked lovely' there are lots of not so nice ones!!

Jacky: heh, The beard kinda threw me off, I like it!

And it's true. I think there was a large span of time that in mainstream American culture, ppl forgot that faeries weren't really all that nice most of the time/ all of the time. It's all gray area as far as we are concerned. I'm glad I grew up without the sugar coated fairy tales, and dove straight in with the old ones! I am glad for artists who tell it like it is.

Linn: when you are here, I have a treasure trove of books and stuff for you to plow through :D

I love urban fantasy, btw.

Ohh, yeah. And they figure pretty heavily into the Mercy Thompson books. They're dangerous, unpredictable people, even the good ones. The fae in the Kitty Norville books are sort of inhuman mysteries, highly magical, and also scary. But they don't show up as much. I guess when the vampires and werewolves are portrayed, more or less, as humans with magical chronic diseases, something had to play the "monster in the shadows" role.

And then there is Tempest Rising by Nicole Peeler, which is fairy-centered. Also old-school. And these are not young adult books I'm talking about, by the way. I always forget that for some reason...

Aw, g'night Jacky! Sleep well!
