Kat, I'm not saying Fantasia is bad. But it's good to be aware of things like racially-charged imagery (which was probably offensive then and is definitely offensive now), so that it doesn't get repeated.

I don't see how having an image like that is really offensive. its history and culture.

It is history. But the shoeshine character is a black caricature who also happens to be a servant character. It's not a huge stretch.

That said, it would not fly today.

yeah, but its not offensive.....its an accurate depiction of the time and culture that its striving for. the setting is mythological and the past.

I'm not sure how mythological it is, exactly, but the centaurs don't look particularly Greek to me.
