Yeah, the fact that Beach Music is pretty much up to your own tastes and preferences was why I ended up voting on it. :lol:
TONS of stuff could be beach music! The obvious choice would've been Sheryl Crow's Soak Up the Sun, which would've been on my list undoubtedly. :sweat:

The two things I have in mind right now for shorts I know are appropriate.... I'm just not sure if I'm going to be able to find one since it's an old commercial. If beach music wins I shall be posting strictly Beach Boys all night, except I might throw in one or two Kenny Chesney songs b/c that's about all I know that's my definition of 'beach music'

I voted for the shorts and commercials as well just because it's something different. Though I almost voted for the classic music because I love classic rock.

I had a hard time deciding. I figure we'll end up using all of the choices at some point, though, so... :)

And now I'm wondering who voted for Lilith Fair. That would be the one person I wouldn't have to explain the category to.

Yeah we probably will and a couple of those nights I'll be hear to listen only. I have no clue what Lilith Fair is and I don't know techno music very well though I could just ask my roomie for songs.

I'm definitely going to be putting up another poll later in the week; I'll probably let Linn get some more feedback for upcoming themes, since she's good for that (I'm too lazy and disorganized to keep track! :gonk: ), and mix them in with the remaining options from this week's poll.

I listen to the Beatles and Nickelback is my favorite rock group so I know almost all their music

The Who is probably my favorite, but I won't claim to know all of their music. They have a lot of it.

Yeah... Beatles is my favorite classic rock though I think that is more of my dad's influence than anything else...

Heh. I probably did listen to more The Who growing up.

Yeah. I really want modern music to start throwing back to some of the great rock of the 70's because that was the era when rock was king.

If you find a modern rock band like that, let me know. There is so much whining in rock right now...

I know and if it's not whining it's all gravel. There is also too much pop in rock. I mean I love Lady Gaga and Adam Lambert (though Adam is trying to throw back in some of his songs too classic rock) but they are pop and I love Nickelback but it's commercial and very modern. I want some of the good old pushing the boundaries and reinventing what we know as rock and roll.
