Well, if you're listening to whatever station, there's a little button on the bottom right corner of the player. If you hover over it, it tells you that it turns scrobbling on or off. (Your station is neat, by the way. Is Duffy always this old-school?)

@Cica: Lolwhat? D:
I don't use a player! There's this neat add-on for Mozilla Firefox so the music plays through my browser.
So I have no clue what you're talking about...
But yeah, Duffy's good! =D And Jem. =3 I don't know if Duffy's very old school, but she definitely gives off that vibe!

@Facade: Ohh, I can't help you then. Hrm. I wonder if there's an add-on for Safari. I may have to check. Not that I mind having the website open in the background. (Oh, geez, why haven't I been listening to Imogen Heap?)
Also, Neko Case. I think she's the next artist on my mental list, actually. Can't remember whether she's in my library, though.

Who's Neko Case? :insane:
Imogen Heap is very good! :D She can get old after a while, but she's still very uniquely fantastic. :P
Nighty night, Zephi! Sorry for leaving you out of the conversation.

Aww, night Zephi! Yeah, sorry about the conversation. Get yourself hydrated, k? ;)
This is Neko Case. And I know it lists her as country, which is normally not my genre, but she's pretty amazing. And I have actually listened to two of her albums through.
Imogen Heap seems like a real eccentric, but in a music-oriented way as much as anything. As in, any visual eccentricity isn't the focus. (Unlike, say, Lady Gaga.)

Yeah, that's very much Imogen Heap.
Her music videos can be very neat, though. :o
But ultimately, I'd say she's more theatrical and eccentric in her actual music, if anything.
I'm a fan of Lady Gaga, although some of her stuff is so pigeon-brained that it makes me sad that she's SO damn popular. :(
Although her less-popular song, Brown Eyes, is really pretty.
And I'll definitely have to check out Neko Case, then! I was thinking the same thing when I saw her labeled as country. Not my sort of thing! But she seems like the type I'll like!
@Kat: Welcome back! I had chickfila earlier! :o Weirddd.
And I don't remember if I know of Candlelight or not... xD Any idea which album it's from?

I guess I'm not a huge fan of Lady Gaga. I spend more time listening to music than watching it, so an artist focused more on visual gimmicks doesn't really appeal to me. And Lady Gaga's visual gimmickry has as much or more to do with her popularity than her music, which isn't actually that interesting, at least from what I've heard of it. (Then again, the Black-Eyed Peas did very well with "My Humps," so...)
Neko Case is listed as alt-country, I guess to differentiated it from country pop. Definitely more folksy and acoustic, which is right up my alley, especially if the Neko Case station is accurate. (No, really, I'm liking this station. A lot.)
@Kat: Hey, Kat-girl! :) We're chatting music, as if you couldn't tell. And we chased off Zephi without meaning to...

Zephi said in her insane ward that she went to sleep because she couldn't spell "for" so maybe ya'll didn't scare her off. I'm not too fluent in music, but I'll see what I'll try to keep up.

@Cica: Ooh, country pop - that reminds me, I love that song Carrie Underwood did... something about digging her keys into the side of her ex's car, or something.
But a lot of her other stuff is generic country crap. :| Actually, the only other song of hers I know is 'Jesus Take the Wheel'...
I've only ever watched Lady Gaga perform ONCE... When she just so happened to be on SNL when I watched it. I rarely watch it.
She had this funky thing around her that rotated... and her head/arms kept getting stuck!
I appreciate her originality, although she's becoming more like a Cirque du Soleil (without impressive acrobatics) show every minute.
@Kat: Ooh, I see! A lot of guards use Imogen Heap songs. It's really lame when I see one using one of her songs these days! I feel like once a song's been done by 20 other guards, it's just... dumb to try and make a unique show from one. I mean, once an amazing guard does it, it's hard to beat it!

@Kat: That, and if Zephi's actually had as many beers as she claims... well, sobriety or lack thereof could certainly be a factor. :p
@Facade: Carrie Underwood is okay. It's just that mainstream country tends to sound all the same to me. Yeah, generic country crap. When country gets back to its roots, though, and closer to folk (contemporary and traditional both), I like it better. Such as when the Dixie Chicks (who are mainstream, but not quite so pop), emphasize the fiddle and such. :)
I think I saw Lady Gaga on... Was it an award show one year? I can't remember. Either way, I wasn't impressed by the music, and spent most of my time trying to figure out why she had what looked like crab claws as eye decorations.

@Cica: Ooh, the Dixie Chicks are goood. Classic ladies, they are! And very talented. <3
LOL, crab claws? ... She worries me. And here I thought her bubble dress was pushing it!
@Kat: Wild Horses? By Natasha Bedingfield?
Ew, sounds like it's doomed to fail... Were those shows horse-themed?
Maybe Imogen Heap is more of a northern thing, then. I've seen at least three guards do Imogen Heap songs, as well as a few professional guards do it, like APEX.

@Facade: It's what they looked like to me. Hopefully they weren't real, actual crab claws (though I wouldn't put it past her.) What I wonder is, what happens when she runs out of ideas? It has to happen some day...

I don't know. my friend went to nationals our freshman year and said she saw a lot of that song. Last year was some really bad song that the first place and third place winners in A class were using. Both shows were horrible. Apex, that sounds familiar. My director was in Code Black and before that, Fortitude.

@Cica: She'll be a nobody in five or six years anyway. So let's hope she doesn't go into unchartably awful wardrobe choices until then.
@Kat: My instructor was in Field of View. =3 Her director, Todd Marcocci, plans the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade! :D
