Linnea: Choices, choices... XD The perfume thing is more of a background detail. Not really part of the plot, but something to watch for. Especially when Laurie visits Jon on Mars. Or rather, you can't miss it there. But once you see it there, you won't miss it elsewhere, either.

I can't remember. Was the characters' team actually called Watchmen in the film? They're the Crimebusters in the book. And the Minutemen before them.
