I like singing too. ^^ Back when I took voice lessons I was a first soprano and had a range of about... two and half? three octaves? I don't really remember. My voice is so out of shape now though that I have a hard time with the really high notes now. Not sure where I would be considered at now.

I've always wanted to learn to play violin. And a D flute (I love their deep, mellow tones).

i've only had sips of all of those but i liked a few. the jack and coke was an accident at the age of about 8 however, never again.

When I was in Japan, there a drink at this one yakitori place I loved to eat at called "ichigo yogurito orenji" (strawberry yogurt orange). As strange as it sounds, yogurt based alcoholic drinks are very popular in Japan and it was absolutely freaking delicious! I wish I knew how to make it or even what all was in it. For here in the US, I just settle for mixing strawberry schnapps with orange juice. Still pretty darn good.

Just don't go all crazy when you do start drinking guys, totally not worth it. :P

Yah I am out of practice too, which is why I would stick a little lower, but I have a pretty good range. I can sing tenor parts too on a really good day, but that is a bit much, lol. I stick with celtic-y stuff, or choral pieces for my voice, that or musicals, jazz, etc. Modern music and my voice don't really go well together, and by modern, I mean pop.

Yah, I would love to play the violin. So far I can squeak out Three Blind Mice on one, lol. I have been looking more into hammered and mountain dulcimers lately too. Along with a hurdy gurdy, they just feel so medieval to me.

Dulcimer... I think I may have one of those. Let me look them up first and make sure I'm thinking of the right instrument.

Edit: Oh! Recognize them from the folk festivals, but nope, don't have one. Dang, what's the name of what I was thinking of? It's a wooden board with metal... prongs? keys?

I don't intend on it, i'm not a big fan of the taste of alcohol. It will be more of me buying one drink as a right of passage type thing. Also, I think I'm a light weight so I'm betting me and alcohol won't mix well

yeah, I don't think I'll ever try beer. nasty. my dad used to brew it in the house and its horrible smelling. sweeter wines are okay, like what they have at church.

I didn't even have a drink on my 21st birthday (much to my sister's disgust; she'd really wanted a drunk call from me). *shrug* Drinking age in Japan is 20 and I was there for the semester prior to my 21st. Wasn't a big deal to me.

True. Let's see... I think I was 16 when I was in France and Germany. Was allowed to drink there. Tried some sips, but wasn't really interested at that point. And I believe the drinking age in England is 18.

Hm, that might still be a little dulcimer, like mountain dulcimers are smaller and can be picked or strummed. I got to play with an amazing hammered dulcimer at the last Ren Faire I was at. I think it was because they saw how much my eyes light up when they were playing.

Beer grows on you, I used to hate it with a passion. Then I tried good, local beer. That is a whole different drink.
My DD got drunk on my 21st birthday, whoops. I was pretty sober as I recall.

Ah! Found the instrument I was thinking of. Apparently it's African and has several names, but the only English name is has is "thumb piano."
