@Cica: It really made me angry. :|
The meeting the textbook people had was so insane that one of the ladies practically stomped out, claiming they're trying to entirely erase Hispanic history from the textbooks... Which is half of Texas' own history, overall... not to mention half of its population! :gonk:
I hate textbooks to begin with... Isn't it enough we have to read the darn things? Now we have to have an entirely WHITE history?
Some of their choices included taking out Thomas Jefferson (I think it was him, anyway) entirely, since he was a renowned deist, and that seems to apparently mean a bad influence. :stare:
I hate the world.
I think old people need to be shot in the head and have their bitter ways die with them. It shouldn't be spreading down to modern day's generations anymore!

Didn't the microwave have a popcorn button? Linn, next time I will make you popcorn, the real way! Of course I don't have a smexy little apron but I think you can do with out it...right? Right! Cause I'm awesome like that haha. I hate the smell of burnt popcorn, it lingers for way too long
Look Facade they are not taking it out entirely, Texas can't ignore the fact that we are from Mexico. But there is no need for us to expand the Latino history which is what is being considered. Besides a lot of Texans have a general ambovilence towards Mexicans since most of them are illegal immigrants that are getting welfare and stuff as nonlegal citizens yet the presidents (I include Bush and Obama in this) have done nothing to increase border control. It makes since with Texas. The important stuff will not be removed of that I am sure. I state again the only thing that is unneccassary is the downsize of Thomas Jefferson, he wrote the declaration of independence and he deserves to be in our history books. I also think the liberals are blowing this way out of proportion. Minor changes are always being made to history books, this time the changes just happen to have a conservative spin, in the past they have had a liberal spin, I didn't see a big uproar then. I just want to know why people think it is conservatives who are the villians when if you look at history it is conservatives who have typically caused change and good things to happen. And also Texas, one of the most conservative states, is one of the few states still in the black.
