It is an art project...it's my senior project in drawing. I will have a show at the end of the spring semester.

I have one piece done. It is inspired by vector art and art nouvuea. It has plant-like objects and dragonflies on it.

Ooooh, that sounds realy pretty. is it in actual watercolor or did you just like that paper? I like dragonflies... and fireflies :O

I am using the solid watercolors for the background. Everything else is using watercolor pencils.

ooh, watercolor pencils? :O I have never used them before. I should look into those. And proper sketch book. Or just larger paper. I wish that my stuff was here. I know for a fact that I have 2 sketchbooks that are brand new in there.

My granny bought me the 72 set by Derwent. They are nice.

Holy cow :O 72! That's quite a selsection. It's funny, my daughter gets the same presents that I used to get, tons of art supplies and paper. Haha, I think that she draws more than I did, maybe.

that's a lot of colors! I have a set of 24.

I had a set of 24 and the colors were off...seriously...the orange was actually a brown color...the greens were more blue... -_- And she said a 24 set was a enough but it definitely is not. The 72 is just barely enough.

I was thinking that my blues were more green, but I guess that's the same thing. the colors are off maybe, but it's not like you can't use them. I tend to use them with regular watercolors anyways. I've always been able to make do very well with a limited color pallet.

I haven't...although my 24 set was the Micheal's brand (Artist Loft) which was probably why they were screwed up. They also kept on breaking and didn't like to be sharpened.

mine are Generals I think. mine don't break, but they are hard to sharpen. it's my prismacolors that have been mistreated greatly that like to break.

Well....general's is actually a pretty decent brand. I like them.They have this really nice pencil sharpener that I just love and adore. So I bought a second one just to have since I keep misplacing mine. XD
