You could still beat them. I know there is a woman in my group and she refuses to discipline her kids cause her mom used to beat the crap out of her. She found out that she doesn't have to go THAT far but a swat on the butt won't hurt them in the long run. They will still love her. Her 2 year old is almost 3 and is a HOLY TERROR.
