Morning! I tried to post last night but i had a virus or something on my lappy and it freaked me out so i closed everything out.
I don't remember what i was going to say last night. anyways, i didn't decorate for Christmas yesterday. my mom and dad came over and brought us some milk, bread, new glass baking pans, and a roller brush for my hair. My dad also fixed my hair dryer, when we moved over to the house, i had the guinea pigs in the bathroom and they were too close to my stuff and one of the piggies chewed on my hair dryer cord. thank goodness it was fixable. so then we ended up going over to their house the rest of the day so hubby could sleep. he had to go into work at four in the morning yesterday. i guess he didn't get to take a nap because the phone kept ringing. all well. he was grouchy yesterday, i know i said i was gonna complain about him any more but i can't help it. he came home for lunch yesterday and was really rude again. i mean it was 10 in the morning and he was already on to me about getting the boxes scooped and picking up my sugar packets. when he said he thought i was cheating on him it was because the way i was treating him. how am i supposed to treat him how he wants to be treated, if he doesn't treat me like the way he thinks HE should be treated? That's why i'm so mean sometimes and snap back, because he comes home and blows up at me. anyways... hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! I just can't wait for finals to be over, so then maybe I can enjoy the holiday season more.

Yeesh llonka. I still can't believe that your husband would say something like that. I mean, you have a full time job taking care of the kids and the house as it is, along with school. Where does he think that you'd get time for that. =.= Men are so stupid sometimes. Nah... most of the time.

lol...
There's a guy on Evony who calls me sweetie all the time.
But then again, he's always mixing me up with this other gal, so I think he just calls all the females sweetie.
That way you don't have to remember names. lol...

Well there's a lot of people that do that. I totally do that when I run into someone that I should know, like they look really familiar and I fake the conversation until I can think of their name, or just give up and avoid anything where I would have to say a name.
llonka isn't that the truth? XD

We never put up outside stuff.
I have this little dead tree in a pot. It used to be a ficus tree, but then it died.
It's about 4 1/2 feet tall. I took most of the little branches off and then sprayed it with silver paint. Then I put little led lights on it.
I did this 3 years ago, and we keep it plugged in all the time.
Well, one of the strings of lights on it died, so I had to replace that string.
It's my little linus tree...
That's basically my only Christmas decorations this year.

Heya everyone!
so I just had something happen to me... and I wanna ask y'all what you think about it - just to get other opinions on it.
So talking to someone from the dorms today, we were talking about my birthday, and they were like "so how old are you? 20?" and I was like "Heh. No... 24." And someone else near by was like "Well then why are you even living here?" So basically what I am getting from that - because I am 24... I shouldn't be allowed or rather, I should not still be living in the dorms? And that just made me frustrated and upset - but I didn't show it with them... it just hurt me, honestly. Is it wrong of me to feel hurt by the way that they phrased that statement? Or am I over reacting?

nemo.love_22: don't feel bad. they are just being nasty. my brother is still living in the dorms, he is 23, because it's easier and cheaper in the long run. if you move out of out the dorms, you'd have to pay all your bills, have a vehicle to get you back and forth to class. I think it is ok to feel hurt about it. It doesn't matter what age you are, the dorms is for anyone going to college. It makes it easier to get to and from class because you are right there on campus. Hope you are feeling better about today.
Zephi- There is? How do you know it's not me?

llonka: Thank you. I have so many other people go "Did you know that getting an apartment costs less? Um, suuuure... I am currently not paying utilities, internet, for food - I mean, I am, but I get food money per month from the dorms, so I can eat. Plus I don't drive (I honestly I do not even have a license - personal reasons) so that would be even more tricky. They don't know my situation, we weren't talking about that. It totally does make it easier to get to classes! And haha, my immediate response when she said that was "I'm here to go to school - just like everyone else in here." Not totally true, as my roommate has stopped going to class... -.- ((She's young, immature and has decided that "school is not for me." Um, sweetie, you didn't try. She also thinks that if she gets kicked out for failing all of her classes this semester that they won't charge her next semesters fees despite the fact that she signed a years contract and did not ask to be let out of it. I've kinda found myself snapping at her whenever I talk to her now. She just is getting on my nerves, but that is another issue all together. *lol* xD
I think honestly, what bothered me the most was the way that it was said. *shrug* I'm sure that today will be a better day. Hope that you're having a good day.

Ugh people like your room mate irritate me. she is so lucky to be able to be there and just concentrate on school, nothing else. some of us have kids, jobs, outside stresses besides just the college course work. my husband went to college, worked, and helped raise our family, and he graduated. kids like your roomie need a wake up call. I think you are better off staying there on campus and taking advantage of all it has to offer. It just gets harder once you live on your own. I bet those kids that told you all the BS have no idea what it really is like having an apartment. You'd have to buy your food, cook it for yourself, wash your own dishes, clean your apartment, along with paying all the bills and getting you class work done. sorry i could rant forever.
my day is ok so far. started some laundry, got the boys bathed, now Jacob is eating so I can take him to Kindergarten soon. I need to study for my English test tomorrow, if I don't pass the test, I don't pass the class.

Oh, people like her irritate me too.... and the fact is - if she is not going to class, she has time to clean, but does she do that... NO! And she is going to get her wake up call.. and I will be the one saying "I told you so." She'll be back with mom, who she complains about all the time, and being charged the dorm fees... which'll make her mom bitch at her even more. Because her parents are the ones paying for everything. and no worries. I have to hold myself back with rants when it comes to her. I find myself either totally ignoring her - which is just awkward seeing as we live together, or when I do talk to her, I snap at her. Oh, where I used to go to school before this - we basically had converted apartments as dorms, so we had to do all our own cooking - not the same, I know, but I know how it feels to have to go and get about 150$ worth of food in one go - and take it back on the bus and carry it back to my room, up hill in the snow... it's hard and she has it freaking easy... I just want to throw something at her or scream or Gibbs slap her... although none of that would help. I know it. But I will be the one laughing when things fall apart even worse... because I've told her that she needs to go and talk to a councilor... or to talk to the peoples in the dorm office... whatever. and no worries about your rant, I totally agree with you. I mean I do not have kids, but I know how it goes having to do own shopping, dishes, on top of classwork and living with someone who I don't even know.
Oh, nice nice - and good luck on that exam. I know that you can do it! I have finals next week and that is just stressing me out even more than a bunch of other things happening right now. if Tomorrow goes downhill as badly as these past few days... I think I might scream.

Good luck on your exam, llonka, but I know you won't need luck.
You've been preparing for this, and YOU CAN DO EET!
Nemo, I suspect that gal is just jealous. She's thinking that if she were older, she would so be on her own, but I think you're smart. I remember back when I was in college (WAY back), I was excited to move to an apartment my senior year, but in retrospect, it was a lot harder to manage. But it was a different sort of living, so it was good experience for me for when I was out on my own.
But it sure was a LOT more expensive in the long run...

Jean: I am sure that she is. But I don't think that people get it - that yes - sure that an apartment, before internet, and utilities etc would be less than the dorms, but then you have to remember to actually eat... etc... which was my problem at the school that I was at before the school that I am at now. Plus it makes getting to classes easier. :P

Yup. My apartment was about 10 blocks away from campus, so I had to bike in.
In the winter I walked...so I stayed at the student center during the day between classes.
It was different. I then had to buy food at the student union, and that got expensive. But I did meet a different group of people.
When I was in the dorms, I never stayed at the student center much.
There was a lot of stuff going on there that I never even knew about when I was in the dorms. So for experiences, it was good for me.
But that was years and years ago.
Heck...we didn't even have PC's then. The only computer was in the Engineering building behind glass walls... To listen to music, you had to go to the music room, check out an album and some headsets, and then go sit in the room...plug the headset into the number you were given in the wall, and then listen to the entire album. No skipping around or choosing your songs.
...and THAT was a state of the art system!

Jean: Yeah, where I was before, I Was on campus in a 2 person apartment (although they called it the dorms). So it was nice, but at the same time, it was a good 20 minute bus ride to the store, and then back - and sometimes it just got old. >.< Especially when you had to deal with the good 8 to 10 inches of snow - sometimes more - during the winter. I definitely do not miss it! I miss the beauty of that campus but not the weather, that is for sure!
So when I hear people here at this school complain about things--- I laugh and just try not to read them the riot act, because they have it so easy here where I am now. >.< Spoiled immature people who're used to having mommy and daddy do everything for them and see that it's ok to waste mommy and daddy's money when things don't go their way or that they see the need to rebel against their parents now that they are 'grown ups' and don't live at home anymore. xD
