tomorrow hubby has to work, so nothing going on here. prolly just be a lazy weekend for us. but i like it that way. i'd rather sit around all day with my hubby than go to family's house or something.
Jacob talked me into putting some of our christmas stuff up already!! so now i'm ready to find some more lights for the kitchen and some window stickers. :boogie: thought about putting our tree up on sunday. guess we'll see how hubby feels. i'm afraid the cats will just mess it all up. i dunno. i'm so sleepy.... guess i should make some coffee or something.
oh and yes! thanksgiving lunch was good!! my mom is a good cook. you should try real pie sometime pancake! my favorite is pumpkin and cherry. i like apple pie too. i actually want some more turkey, we only had it once yesterday. lol!

Aww... Its kinda of sad that your hubby has to work on a weekend too :( I think I would complain endlessly if I had to be back at work on a Saturday. I think I had to one time but that was just o clear my email so it wouldn't blow my mailbox. And yeah, sometimes spending time at home is better than going out. My Saturday will be pretty eventful but my Sunday is planned so I am able to stay home and spend some father daughter time with my dad :) My mother and sister will be heading to Bangkok for a trip so he would be alone if I wasn't here. Thought we could go for lunch and dinner together ^^
And you are going to trim the tree this week! How fun! We used to do that for Christmas but then we got lazy because we'd have to drag our plastic tree from upstairs (we don't have real fir trees here! :P) At least today I think we'd be decorating the tree at the homeless shelter. Or at least that's what I heard we'd be doing. It'll be fun!
I think Apple pie would be delicious! Or cherry pie... Even though I don't particularly like cherry but it looks good in comics! And turkey... I was turkey but I'm now only having Chinese chicken rice!

So you never had a real pie Pancake!? :O How is that even possible? My mom makes the bestest apple pies in the world. When she was a kid she used to make a whole lot and then sell them outside the grocery store  Of course this was back in the day so things are different these days. Oh well. They are still the best, especially cause she makes them from scratch. I think besides her apple pies, cherry pie would have to be my favorite.
Volunteering sounds like fun. I did a little bit when I was in Korea, but things are so different there. They... have different standards and they called the kids "retarded." :O I was like, "Dude! Can they say that!?" but the kids didn't speak english there so I guess it didn't really matter. But they were fun. Though in Korea they put them to work; making bread, tending orchards and folding boxes. They get like pennies from each thing they do and get to buy stuff on their own but still. It seemed like cheap labor to me <.<
Weekend!? I wish! haha... yeah, I still have this cold thingy and I'd really like to sleep all day, it's just so darn cold! I think my heater went out last night too

Whoa Zephi, your avatar is now wayyyy different compared to your old pink Valentines Day one ^^"
And yes, it is true, I have never had real pie in my life. I guess pies aren't really a famous dessert where I am from. We prefer ice-cream and cakes here. Pies only come in those really expensive coffee houses where they charge more than 10 bucks a slice. And those aren't really even that tasty.
I guess the culture is different there. Making them do some work probably would mean that they want the kids to be able to try to survive when things get really hard. I am not really against that idea. But calling them 'retarded'? That's kind of mean =.= But maybe its because their English wasn;t that good and they assume retarded is just nother world for 'special'. Probably when they directly translate it from some Korean word, it could mean the same but with less emphasis. Though in the end, I did not go to the kids' homeless shelter today. We made a call before we went and it seemed the kids were out on a trip or something...
Hope you get well soon. Everyone seems to be falling sick easily these few days. Not sure how the weather is like over there but over here its hazy, hot, rainy. Very weird combination and unhealthy for us to be hanging out outdoors.

Pa-pancake! :glomp: Hey!!!! Heya Aine!
So.. where are you from pancake? What kinda place doesn't have pie? Well... you should move away from there. It's obviously sub-par stardards of living if they don't even have pies! Tell you what, you come and visit me and I'll make you a pie. From scratch ;)
Well that's good that the kids got out today :) But in Korea, they stay there their whole lives. Like from birth they get dropped off and raised in this system. No one is allowed to adopt them either, because their parents MIGHT come back one day. Though, it's very very very rare that it ever happens. Usually the women who are not married get rid of the kids cause it's highly frowned upon to raise a child as a single parent, especially a mentally handicaped one. So sad. I wanted to adopt a few of them myself!
OMG.. it's HOT where you are!? Dude! Ok, new plan! I coem visit you and make you a cake at your house. lol

llonka! llonka! There you are! hi Hi hi HI! You know I know this person who is selling a pair of really awesome wings, they are yellow and purple and I know that you would love them but I think she wants to sell them soon and I see that you are kinda low on funds.. awwww... cause I know that you would love them. I think she was asking like 4k for them or something like that but it's really cool cause I think that they are CI's, but I'm not sure anyway, they are awesome and you should get them if you can get the cash. I know she wants to save up some cash so maybe if you talk to her she will hold onto them for you? Her name is Liquid Diamond... hey how do you do that thing where you talk about someone and then they come here? That ping thing? Cause you should ping her over here right now!
Oooh surround sound is the best way to watch anything! You know what you have to watch now? Jurassic Park! Best movie ever to have surround [email protected] Like you are really there and the dinos are after youuuuuu!
You should just go cut down a real tree. lol, thats what we used to do back in the day, cause we were in Maine and it woulda been dumb to buy one anyway when there are TONS of forests around.. go ping her now!!!

LOL ainebella, yeah, I tend to type really really long posts! Habit I guess ^^"
Zephi, I'm from Malaysia. I don't know if many people know about it here because it seems most members from the community are usually from the states. People sometimes think we still live in trees here! And it'll be nice to visit you! I wish I could! But the exchange rate would kill me! 1USD converted into my currency is about 3.2 times!
And yeah, actually the homeless shelter which I visit is actually very nice! Its a bungalow unit where the kids get airconditioning! Sometimes I feel the kids there are luckier and some of the people I know. But of course the kids have had very rocky pasts so that is the main difference I guess. And its weird that kids aren't allowed to be adopted in Korea O.O
And its ALWAYS hot where I am! Its every rain or shine really... nothing else. Of, we have haze too if that counts? XD
llonka: Oooh! I wish we could have snow here. The last time I have actually seen REAL snow was when I was in Finland when I was four and I ended up having frost bite because I didn't want to wear gloves!
congratulations on your new home theater! I'm sure it makes your family all really happy! And spingebob on it must be quite epic! XD
Oooh, I thought most people use real trees there. I think I sometimes base the American lifestyle too much on television shows and Archie comics! LOL!

Malaysia... you know I think that's a region and not a country but then again that's just how it seems to me. Weird, huh? I was in Korea for two years. I suppose thats the closest that I have been, but I'd love to go there, I think I will have to do a lot of traveling in the next few years, yes. I wish that I could bring my daughter along as well. And don't worry, I post really long posts too but usually because I have had some caffeine and my fingers translate ALL my thoughts out ad it just doesn't stop. Stop... stop...
Well the kids that are dropped off to the shelters and stuff aren't allowed to be adopted cause their parents MIGHT come back. And they really wouldn't want to let an American adopt a Korean child. They would rather that they spend their whole lives in the system instead of possibly getting a nice home with a mom and dad that would love them. Old fashioned thinking if you ask me. But I guess that is just their culture.
I would kill for some heat right now. I'm losing feeling in my fingers as we speak and I'm really not sure if I feel anything in my feet either. I think that they are also frozen, and I'm in my sleeping bag! Ridiculous!
OMG you got frostbite!? :O That's scary. The thing that scares me the most about the cold *checks all fingers and toes for frost bite* I think I'm ok.. for now <.<
American's in general are a lot like what you'd see in Archie comics I guess, but maybe Archie would be more accurate a few years ago... like 20 or 30 XD Still, it's better than nothing. I think that the news is a bad representation of America. Cause they always seem to interview the most backwater people that they can find. Like they think that it's a joke to show the world the really bad side of America... butit's such a huge country, so diverse...
Save up te money LLONKA!!!! Go get those wings! Just make really long posts and youll have it soon enough!

Oooh! The posts are getting longer and longer! Random but sdudenly I feel like wanting to revive my quest thread! LOL! Hope people visit there. Insanely lazy to actually update the layou though...
And I guess it sounds like a region because of the word 'Asia' being in it ^^" And I visited Korea just a few months back and I absolutely love Seoul. I wish I could go back and migrate to the place! The weather there is lovely and I really loved everything about it! Well, some of the food is still a little too foreign for me so maybe those are things I can't exactly love yet. But the country is so clean and the public transport is so efficient! I'm amazed at everything there. Of course, my country is quite backward so being there, everything made me 'oooh' and 'ahhh'!
I just trunved off my air conditioning because it got a little too cold for me. Though I probably have to turn oit back on soon since it would be hot again in no time. I'm not used to the cold weather and I think I get cold rather easily. So if I was where you are right now, I might not be able to take it.
The frostbite, all I remember about it was that it had really hurt. I think I told my mother that my fingers felt as if they were burning eventhough it was cold.
Yeah, Archie comics can get pretty outdated but they are funny and I certainly do enjoy them despite Archie being a two-timer sometimes XD I did manage to visit the states when I was younger about 15 years ago when I was 8. I went to Florida and I remember everyone being really friendly. I loved it there. The weather was similar to what we have in our country so it was okay with me. And the flowers were so beautiful! I think it was springtime when I visited so that was when the flowers were at their best <3

wow frostbite!! i've never had that, but i guess it doesn't get that cold in Kansas. we hardly ever get snow. guess that's why i want snow so bad!!!
yeah boys are loving the new speakers lol!! makes me feel like we are at the movies!! guess we don't have to spend all the money to go to the movies anymore when we have our own theater! wish i could have bought it for him though. no monies. guess i better get busy selling that Avon! hubby needs a new alarm clock so i thought about getting him one for christmas if i can get enough monies. speaking of which he should be home soon, thankfully for the day!! then he has tomorrow off. :boogie:
ugh i have to take bubba to the health dept. on tuesday. i'd rather not. he's getting tested for lead. :P i think it's stupid that his health insurance makes them do that. i don't even have a car to drive so i have no idea how we are even getting there. hubby says we'll go get one of his dad's, but that's to be seen. we were gonna go get hubby's truck back, but his dad says there is something wrong with it again. *rolls eyes*
so i'm totally off topic and now my hands hurt from typing so much. :/ lol

Tested for lead!? OMG... that doesn't sound like good news llonka! What kinda truck is it? A ford? lol.. there is always something wrong with them, especially if it's like a 98 or older. I guess the newer trucks are ok though. OMG my fingers are getting cold. I guess to actually get the frostbite you'd have to spend a lot of time outside. That's why I dont like it here cause we are always outside and it's so darn cold! I mean, common sense would tell you that when it's cold you should be inside where it's warm!
Oooh, you're quest thread? I don't think I've actually looked at that one yet  Seems like everyone has one. Which is kind a odd to me, I mean we do a lot of talking in here anyway so what's the point of a quest thread anyway?
I liked it in Korea. Well liked it well enough. The country was nice, and the people were really nice! I had an "adpotive" korean family. It was to improve relations between the US Soldiers and Korean people. It was fun. They were really nice and were like taking me out to eat traditional korean food and we did a lot of talking about cultures and I went to their house. One thing I saw is that they drank a lot. Not sure if it was just custom when someone came orver or if they were alcoholics. LOL.. but they were always drinking. Then the dad drove me back to the post after that, I have to admit that I was a little worried, but no worries cause we made it back ok.
Yeah... I forgot what else we were talking aboot. Oh yeah! Florida. Love it there. I love the heat, and it's USUALLY warm there. Except the ONE time I go there, I took my daughter to Disney World for her birthday and there was a freak cold front that was passing through. I think it got down to like the low 30's and low 40's at the high. Kinda sucked to be outside and all the Floridians didn't go outside cause it was so cold to them
HEY KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT! *waves frantically*

yeah just some insurance crap. i'm pretty sure his toys don't have lead in them and we dont have lead paint chips laying around on floor. kansas health insurance is just stupid. jeremy's truck is a chevy... it's like a custom truck or something like that. it's neato lookin. i miss my little car. but i guess my dad is gonna drive it. i want a PT Cruiser or something like that!!! :squee: i like small tiny cars. lol!
haha bubba just turned the volume up on the speakers... you'd swear you were in a movie theater!! :D
so i was supossed to go to florida but our flights got cancelled so we went to texas instead. it was for a band trip. haha yeah i was band nerd.

llonka you need to get earning the casholla! lol... I couldn't imagine that you'd be in ahouse that had lead paint just cracking and falling from the roof and stuff, that'd be just silly and really unhealthy. Oh well, Kansas is better than Afghanistan anyway, so you win there :P A chevy? Nice, what kind does it look like, or seem like, or colored like.. something. It's hard for me to find a truck that Ilike but I think that's just because I'm so attatched to my Jeep, it's like my other baby  And I'd hurt someone if they hurt it, just like I would about my daughter. lol. What kinda car did you have?
I bet it's cool! You really really really have to watch Jurassic Park! Come on. I bet you'r boys would like it, well most of it. cause of the dinos and stuff. Bos like that kind of things, right? Cause they areboys. Haha.. I wish that I had a boy too. Or a boy first woulda been ideal, then my daughter coulda had a big brother to look out for her.
A band nerd! OMG. i wanted to be. lol. I wanted to play the flute but my mom wouldn't let me because she said that we moved around too much but then she turned around and let my sister play the clarinette and take piano lessons and all this GARBAGE! How is that even fair? Like she got to do all the things that I wanted to do but they never let me <.< Sometimes being the older child just didn't have it's advantages. Til I could drive that is, muahahaha.. then I could go wherever I wanted.
I think I'm gonna go get a shower and pray for warmness. I'll be abck though! :D

OMG *dies* It's good for you to read this! it stimulates your brain and gives you lots of new ideas! Especially when I write it! Not a single word in there is just for show or to get more gold cause that's not what it's all about and who cares that I just spent 3k to get a dragon that it turns out that someone had already given to me for FREE. Who cares right? Well, I'd like to get that money back and this is the best way cause I already played all the games for today, unless it's a new day, I wonder. I doubt it though. I have no idea when it counts as a new day. OMG there is some freakin guy who is yelling into the next room, well the room diagonally from mine and she won't freakin get up. He should go in there and flip her bed. Muahaha, I guess that's just what I'd do, especially if I had to come back in 3 times already and he totally outranks her. He's like an E-6 and she's an E-4, maybe E-3. *sneezes* OMG, I'm never gona get better if I don't stop sneezing. But on the up side, it was hot in the shower, like really really hot. Like walking over the top of a volcano hot. yeah, a little TOO hot. Whatever happened to happy mediums?

Oh Kat Dakuu, I'm liking the colours from your avatar! They sure are pretty :)
I managed to read all that but I think to reply, I'd probably have to keep scrolling up to see what is it that I missed.
I still prefer going to the movies to watch my movies somehow. Maybe its because I seem to want to watch newer movies and we do have a pretty good home theater system but I watch most of my movies on my laptop anways. Even when I have people over, we would sometimes just crowd around my laptop! LOL! Of course the home theater system serves its purpose during festive seasons like Chinese New Year and all when all my relatives come down from where ever they are. So they just sit and eat in th living room watching some Chinese specials or Jet Li movie ^^"
My quest thread, looking back at it now took me a load of time =.= I think it was because I needed to keep up with what it was that I wanted to buy and such and because I wanted my avatar to look like a Japanese Idol because I can;t in real life XD
And yeap, Koreans did drink a lot, the Chinese and Japanese drink a lot too. I wish I had a higher alcohol tolerance so I could drink a little more too ^^" I think they have a pretty high tolerance level so they can still drive after that. Though of course it is safer not to do that :P I loved the Soju there and foreign beers taste much nicer than the local ones we have here. Recently, somehow I've been liking beer a lot... I do not know why.
Wow! You get flown around the country for being a band nerd. Not too shabby! :) I'd joint he band... Well, I would if I could play any instruments that would contribute to a band...
