The award is for donating money and stuff. I donate 600$ a year for charities like the red cross and children's miracle network and seeing eye dogs of america... etc... there's 2 more but I can't remember right now :(

oh! that's awesome! my mom donates to a lot of charities and has to make a list and keep up with what she's paid each year.

I think it's tax deductable but I always lose my slip when it's time to do taxes. I'll have it and know right where it is until that day, then it's gone. Meh. It's good to help other people. I wish I could do it with time but I'm busy. Hubby wants to go to a soup kitchen one christmas and help out. :heart:

Considering yesterday, the reason I didn't go to school (aside from sick) was because I got in total 1, and a half hours of sleep!

ouch. that's not enough sleep to go to school on. I don't have that much leeway for skipping most of the time though. A lot of my class only allow 3 absences before they start taking half a letter grade from my final grade in the class. Or my art classes if I miss more than 5 I'm out of the class, period.

see with us, we get 5 days of free sick classes, for a full year (48 weeks) of school. I've used up one for being throw-up sick, and two halves (make 1 whole) for doctors apppointments, and then yesterday. So I need to last until September with 2 sick days.

that would be nice to have that time. most college classes don't distinguish between excused and unexcused, so it doesn't matter if you miss class for sports meets, your in the hospital or just hung over and sleeping it off. and my classes are only a semester long.

ouch that sucks.
