I'm going to go to the kitchen to start making dinner." She walked down an nearby hallway. Rich was about to follow her when his cell rang. He stopped, swore and answered "Yeah?! Oh, sorry Thresch, bad timing. What did you want?" Rich groaned " Really? A challenger already? I can't step out for an hour without this happening. Yeah, I be right there. uh, huh. Bye." He clicked his phone shut and crammed it in his pocket. "You gunna be fine here if I leave for a bit?" He asked Frank. " I don't really want to, but I am a gym leader. Tell Amanda I see her soon. Take care Junior." Rich opened the door and left.
Amanda was busy in the kitchen when she heard the door slam. I wonder who left? She said tying the back of her 'kiss the chef' apron, as she walked back down the hall.

"Hey, he had a challenger he will be back as soon as he is done" said Frank standing awkardly "Nice apron do you need any help with any thing?" he asked wanting to feel useful

"Sure. I'd love some help. Rich normally helps me, but well, he's not here." Amanda shuffled her feet, then walked over to stand in front of Frank. She turned around and lifted her hair so he could tie the strings. She stood still for a second then spun around to face him and blurted out "Sorry about what I did at the berry patch." she said waving her hands in front of her. She smiled, showing her teeth. "Do you forgive me? I acted impulsively."

The strings were pulled out of his hands as she turned "Yeah i forgive you and my responce was not the best ither but, i jumped to conclusions, he just happened to be there at that time" said Frank looking Amanda in the eyes

"Uh..." Amanda stammered. "I, uh. Yeah. A lot of people think that we're dating. We're not, but people ask anyway." She laughed. Amanda knew what was coming, she could see it in his eyes. Changing the subject she blurted out "We never got to battle did we? My backyard is huge. We could battle there, if you want."

"um, okay but what about dinner?" Frank asked What is on this girls mind "but if you want to go out back then lets go" he said with a smile

"Dinner?" Amanda questioned. Then she remembered "Dinner!" and ran to the kitchen. Sure enough the vegetable that she had been sautéing had burnt. "Oh, I'm sorry. I bet you were hungry." She called to Frank. Amanda scraped the burnt remains into the trash and pulled out a frozen pizza. Some world class cook. She thought and sighed.

Frank walked in and put a hand on her shoulder, "I can wait i would rather battle and i would LOVE to taist YOUR cooking not frozen stuff" he said putting the pizza back in the freezer

"Okay, let's battle then." She lead him outside to her yard. "Ready for a challenge?" She asked with a smile as she tossed back her hair.

"okay but you asked for this" said Frank with a smile. I will start with the pokemon she knows then i will bring out the others he grabbed a ball off of his belt and throw it into the air "ZAN COME ON OUT" he called

"Pyro! Go!" She said calling out her level 50 Charizard. "Pyro, Flamethrower!"

"Zan dodge then Shadow Claw" said Frank as Zan's left leg got hit by the string of fire then connecting with her Charizard's side with the is shadow claw

"Pyro!" Amanda yelled as her pokemon to the hit hard in the chest. She growled. "Think that was fuuny? Pyro, Fly. And take that damn zangoose with you!" A wind picked up, as Pyro spread it's wings and took to the sky.

"Zan Brick break before you get to high then JUMP" said Frank. Zan punched The flying lizard sending it of balnce as Zan jumped it hit a wing and then plumeted to the ground after it bounced it got shakely to his feet "DIG" Frank called

"He fainted? Pyro return." Amanda was surprised. "Pyro fainted? That's never happened before. I-" Amanda looked at Frank distressed. "How?" She laughed "What kind of trainer are you? Well, Gen, looks like you get a chance to fight." She said as her level 48 Gengar appeared. " Gen, Curse... I guess."

As the attack hit before Zan could get under ground he fainted "Return, and i guess there is a first time for everything right" and then Frank thought Yeah like Zan fainting that fast this is going to be tougher then i thought he threw another pokeball into the air "Salamence, Dragon breath" he called as his dragon appeaird and shot a large beam of the very powerful attack at the ghost and hit it directly "GREAT JOB BUDDY" yelled Frank

While Amanda was happy about the fact that Zangoose had fainted, she felt the shock of her trainer's bracelet as Gen lost half its hp. The silver band on her right wrist let out the normal 1 second shock when one of her pokemon gets injured. Ow. She thought. I don't remember the shock hurting that much. Amanda could recall the day Blaine had given it to her. "This will help you become a better trainer, Amanda. It will make you feel your pokemon's pain. 1 second for every hit; 2 seconds for every faint; and 3 seconds if they all faint. No remember, the more pokemon you have, up to the max six, will add the shocks on. Never travel with all six of your pokemon. If you get into a challenge, you may end up fainting yourself. Do not us this when you are battling gym leaders, only regular trainers." Amanda had agreed to do as he instructed, and from that point on she had used the bracelet in every battle. It had been months since she had lost, so she had begun to forget the pain of the shock.
Ugh, I have all 6 of my pokemon. He's a very strong trainer too. This won't end well. Amanda thought, shrugging off the pain. She sighed and said "Gen, Shadow ball." Gen moved too quickly for the slow dragon to avoid, and struck in the center of it chest.

Salamence staggered but stayed up from the blow "Okay Salemence lets try and finish this one off, DRAGON RAGE" called Frank and he looked over at Amanda and say that she had a silver band on her wrist he wondered what it was then he looked up in time to see the dragon rage attack skim the edge of the Gangar but not a direct hit he hoped it was enough not sure how many ghost attacks Salamence could take. "IS it done?" he thought allowed

The 2 second shock told Amanda that Gen had fainted. "Ow." she said as her hand twitched. She clenched it into a fist in hopes that Frank hadn't seen it. "Wow." she said to him. "I told you that you were good enough to challenge Rich." She thought about which pokemon to call out next. I won't send Terro in till last. His Salamance looks like it will faint after one more hit. But how much more can I take? She moaned and called out "Viren! Hydro pump!"

Salamence hit the ground hard and had fainted Frank called him back as he did he thought Fuck she just screwed up my plans oh well i will use somebody else then he threw a pokeball into the air "DUSKULL NIGHT SHADE" Called out frank as Darkness started to surround the Blastoise then implode apon it Frank's eyes went wide the move had never been that powerful before he hopped he hadn't made the pokemon faint he wanted a battle out of it

"Son of a Bitch!" Amanda called out, remembering again what Blaine had said that day... "The more powerful the attack, the more powerful the shock."... Snapping back to the here and now, She saw that Viren hadn't fainted. "Vir-viren..." She said, her head pounding, "Surf."

As the Wave came up out of the pokemon Duskull swurved when he did the edge of the attack hit it sending it off to the side but when Frank turned to see if Amanda was okay he got knocked over by a wall of water when he stood up he saw both pokemon were on- the edge of fainting so for the Irony of teh move he called "FAINT ATTACK" Duskull disappeared and then appeared beside teh other POkemon and hit it hard with it's lanturn when he did the lanturn swung back and hit Duskull in the face and both pokemon fainted "Return ,we are both down three this is a really good battle" he called to Amanda as she called her pokemon back "LAPRAS YOUR GO"

Amanda's breathing was becoming labored. 3 more, I can handle 3 more. I hope. "Phil! Go, and Psychic!" She called as her Alakazam came out.

Shit thought Frank as Lapras was thrown a few feet away but looked like it did not take that much damage "WHIRLPOOL" Frank called and Alakazam was trapped in a vortex of water that periodicaly damanged the pokemon with in it "frank took a deep breath thinking of what to do next while he looked at Amanda "HEY ARE YOU OKAY" He called across the field

Amanda could barely keep standing. She had heard Frank say something, a question? she thought. "Umm, yeah." She said, trying to stay standing. "What about you? Phil, us Psychic again." Amanda sat down because she jut couldn't stand anymore. She attempted to laugh. "I'm starting to get bored."
