Amanda thought for a moment - she had a lot of questions. "Why are you a trainer? What made you come here? How old were you when you got you first pokemon, and who was it? Who is you favorite gym leader? How do you know Blaine? Why do you want to talk to him? What made you decide to travel with me? Are you allergic to tomatoes? Do you like spaghetti? Do you like me?" Amanda slapped her hand over her mouth and turned around.

"Well I became a trainer to prove to my asshole of a father that i am not wortless, I came here because i wanted new senery and i was hoping to find different pokemon, I was ten when i got eevee but my father killed it one day while i was in school, I do not have a favorite leader, I met Blaine in passing once he told me he was a leader that was about it, you gave me the toughest battle i have ever had and i want a strong battle partner, nope, and yes, and well maybe" Said Frank answering the questions in teh same order as teh questions blushing when he got to the last one

"Wow. No offense but your dad sounds like a jerk. Must run in the family. I'm sorry about your eevee. I can't have been the toughest. Spaghetti it is then." Amanda said smiling. She had replied the same way he answered. But there was on more thing. She turned to face Frank. "About that last question... Sorry. I shouldn't have asked it. It's just Rich said that he got this 'guy feeling' that you might. I trust him but, I just wanted to know."

"I had had Eevee about a week and yeah my dad was jerk, and Rich was kinda right, i am not sure yet but you are very cute" said Frank grinning

"Th-Thanks." Amanda said. "I guess I kinda like you too." She smiled then turned to finish making dinner.
*time passes without talking*
"There. " Amanda said at last. "Dinner's ready." She handed Frank a plate, then made one for herself. Spaghetti, with a hearty meat sauce and french garlic bread. she smiled and sat down at the table. They ate. "So, do you have any questions for me?" Amanda asked.

"not really," he took a bite of the food "YES ONE where did you learn to cook?" Frank asked taking another bite

"Hehe. Self taught." Amanda said. Then she had to admit the truth, "Well, not really. Miss Mary was a great cook. As I got older, I had to help feed the younger children. There were only about five of us, but that doesn't mean that we did eat. And boy, with Miss Mary's cooking, we ate like kings. That's what Miss Mary called us : her little kings and queens." Amanda sometimes missed the days at the orphanage, and the friends - family - she had made there. "I was the eldest there, so I had the most responsibilities. I was 13 when Blaine adopted me. I had already lived my life on Ember Island. I never really wanted to go to Johto. I didn't talk to Blaine for weeks." Amanda laughed.

Frank laughed "yeah i dropped out of school to become a trainer, I was ten when my dad drowened my Eevee telling me they will not do anything but cause me issues i vowed right then and there that i would prove him wrong." Said Frank staring at his food and he continued "about a year ago at 16 i dropped out went to a pokemon lab by bus, and got Zangoose, he and I have been friends since we met. i sent a letter home after that saying that when i come home i will have eight badges," He pulled out his case, "Three left" then he sighed and put it away "when i get all eight i will fly home and show my dad what my Pokemon have done for me, the have provided friendship and maybe romance" he said looking at Amanda tears in his eyes.

"Here." Amanda said handing him a spare napkin. Then she rose from the table and walked to Frank and hugged him. "Well, there is one thing we have in common. We both have pasts that we want to forget." Amanda could help but feel sorry for the boy that was sitting across from her. She sighed, "Well, maybe when you go back to pallet, I have to have a strong word with your father. I'm sure he'll listen to me. If not, I know powerful people, and they will make him listen - wether he wants to or not." Amanda grinned. "Because nobody says no to them."

Frank dabbed his eyes and hugged Amanda back and chuckled as she said she had powerful friends "and what about the last part, Amanda, Rich was right i do like you, will you be MY Apple?"

Amanda was silent for a moment. When she finally spoke she said. "Blaine taught me well. 'Bonds with people will only hinder what you task demands of you.' I only been in one relationship before, but that was with someone that I had known my whole life. I barely know you, it would feel very... different." Amanda was silent while she waited for Frank to reply.

"I will take that as a maybe ask later" he said with a laugh, "can i crash here for the night so we can leave at the same time tomorrow" then Frank turned to her "we are traviling together right?"

Noticing that they were both done with the meal - perhaps due to the tension in the room - Amanda cleared the table, and began washing the dishes. " Yes, to both the latter questions. There is a closet in the hallway, it has blankets and the like in there. If you don't mind sleeping on the couch. I don't have another bedroom, so that's where Rich normally stays. Um..." Am I forgetting anything? "What time did you want to leave tomorrow? I was thinking about leaving around 6 in the morning. I normally wake up at 5 so, 6 seemed reasonable. Plus, I have to say goodbye to Rich, Thresch, and Joy. 'Time must be well spent, or not spent at all.' Blaine always says that. Anyway, you never told me about when you met him. What happened between the two of you?"

"6 is fine and we met in passing i was ranting about my father and he said 'you should love your family' then he told me to travel and get stronger then come face him in his gym that was at my school but then i moved" said Frank looking at the wall and thinking of how he felt that day

"Well, that's Blaine for you. 'You have to be stronger.' 'Your pokemon must be strong.'" Amanda started to tear up as she remembered his cold words. "'If you are not the best, then become the best.' 'Work at making your team the best.' 'Being the Champion is the greatest a trainer can be.' I don't think that man ever once told me he loved me. No, he did once. When Miss Mary came to visit. After she left, it was right back to lessons. I hate that man. I hate what he's done to me. He's the one saying no to you." Amanda turned to look Frank in the eyes. "He's the one that's controlling how I feel. I'm not me anymore. Then again, I barely remember who me is." She laughed and rubbed her eyes. "Sorry, I shouldn't be telling you this. You have your own worries. I'll - I'll be going to bed now." She smiled weakly and started to walk towards her room.

"well I know a way you can disconect from him" said Frank walking forward and grabbing her wrist

Amanda was afraid. "Wha-What are you doing? Let go of me." she said. She jerked her arm, but he didn't let go. "Stop it Frank, you're scaring me." She began to breathe a little faster.

Frank moved fast and took of the Silver shock braclet and held it away from here "now how do you feel?"

Amanda's mind felt fuzzy, and her vision blurred. She closed her eyes and swayed a bit. "Ow." She said putting her hand on her face. Her head was throbbing, and she could feel her pulse as if it were a hammer hitting her against the head. "OW." She said again and slowly sat down on the floor. She thumped her head against the wall, twice. That didn't help. She then realized that she wasn't at home. "Where am I?" She saw someone standing above her. "Who are you?"
Just then the telephone in the apartment rang.

Frank ran over to the phone and picked it "Hello Amanda's place who is this?"

"Hmm." A gentleman's voice said. "A boy took of her bracelet. If my daughter has invited you to her home, then I assume that she has placed her trust in you. You know then, who I am, and the reason that I am calling. I will ask you politely to return the bracelet to her wrist. No, I don't want to be polite. Return the bracelet that you are now holding to my daughter's wrist, or I shall call that sorry excuse for a gym leader and make him do it. I have had to make him do it before, and he knows the consequences for disobeying me. Now, if you value my daughter's life, you will return in to her. Because the girl you know, is a persona that I have help create. Yes, she is still very much the same person, but with some minor adjustments. With that bracelet, she is destined to be the greatest trainer in the world. Without it, she is nobody. I will leave you 5 minutes to do what I have instructed. Then I shall call the gym leader. Goodbye." The phone disconnected.

Frank took the braslet and put it in the garbage dispoal and turned it on there was a grinding and the braclet was distroyed then Franked looked around the ohone and found Richs number he check his watch as he waited for the phone ot be picked up "three minuets" he said. Rich Picked up "Hey Rich it's Frank, Blaine is about to call you i will exsplane when you get over here" then he hung up and ran to Amanda, "Amanda are okay?"

Rich was holding the phone. "Why did the hell did - Damn it! That stupid son of a bitch took of her bracelet! Oh, dear God what was he thinking?!" He hung up the already disconnected phone. Then it rang again. "What the hell did you do?!" Rich shouted into the receiver. "I am quite sure that I have done nothing Richtor."
"Oh, Blaine. I- I thought you were someone- " Rich was cut off. "That boy?" Blaine said. "Hm, quite. No I am not. But it seems that you know the reason that I am calling." Rich sighed "Yes, sir. You bet I do." Why didn't I tell that kid? Why didn't I tell Amanda? Rich thought as Blaine continued. "This boy has taken the bracelet off of her wrist. You remember the reason it was placed there, yes?" Rich had gotten this call only a month ago. "Yes, Sir." he replied. So you can control an innocent girl, making it so she doesn't even remember who she is. So she doesn't remember her real family. Rich thought with a sigh. "You aren't feeling well?" Blaine asked. Rich didn't know if he was truly concerned. I have to get over to that house. Rich looked at the clock. "5 minutes ago, was when he must have taken it off. That must mean she has 5 minutes till," Rich stopped "She dies?" Blaine, who had been silent all this time spoke up and said. "Yes, you remember that you almost killed her waiting to long. You know that that bracelet is the only thing keeping her alive. She was supposed to have died when she turned 13. I told you this story, yes?" Rich could only nod. Damn, " Do you have the replacement that I sent you? In case this very thing happened?" Rich nodded again, then remembered that he had to say something. "Yes. I do." The phone line went dead. 4 minutes left. Rich thought as he ran to his room, grabbed a small leather pouch and ran out into the night.

"Amanda, are you okay?" asked Frank again with more ergancey "FUCKING TALK TO ME" three minuets had past and there was a load bang as Rich ran into to room out of breath

Amanda was lying on the floor when Rich barged into the house. "Damn it kid. Why did you have to do this?" Rich had tears in his eyes as he pulled the new bracelet out of the pouch. "I was being good to her. I was taking care of her. This would have never happened if my sister hadn't met you! Damn it!" Rich picked up Amanda's limp hand and slide the new bracelet onto it. "Please Mandy, don't leave me again." Rich took Amanda out of Frank's grasp picked her up and set her on the couch in the living room. He knelt beside her, holding her hand and waiting.
