Screwdrivers are good, but the better quality vodka and whiskey definitely makes it better and less likely that you will have a hang over the next day.

@Zephi ~ Beer is always easily and readily available and cheapest of all the alcoholic beverages around.

@jragonprincess ~ What is aqua?

@DJ D4RT ~ I have seen seventy-five cent drafts at a bar but never cheaper than that. Where I work at on certain nights we have dollar drafts.

@lastemoon ~ As long as it is high quality vodka.

I don't drink much but when I do, it's dark beer. Lagers and premiums are my favorites. My two brands are Yuengling and Smithwicks. Delicious.

Sometimes I will drink something fruity. That is when I am out with my friends any someone else is paying. They're expensive and I am poor.

Im not of legal age until june 14th, but i went through my high school party phase, my non drinking phase and now that im so close I just drink occasionally, I have been able to get into bars without trouble for the last year now... i know its bad! but i dont do anything stupid and i never drink too much because I just dont like the feeling of being too drunk...

anyways my favorite drink is Rolling rock pale ale, yea beer I dont know what it is but since I started drinking I just really liked the taste of beers over liquor... I never had to aquire a taste for beers

for liquor my favorite would be Dark spiced rums since I can drink it straight without gagging xP

but my favorite mix drinks are Purple hooters, Washington apples, white russians, Big bamboos, and fluxuations

drinks that I try to stay away from are red wine and whiskey they always give me the worst hangovers >.<

Butterbeer.
I'm not joking, butterscotch schnapps with cream soda.

Butterbeer is good shit.

Absinthe, the real deal one. Though I do have a bottle of Absinth in my room, and it tasts damn close to the real deal(had some when I was in Portugal for a school "culinary trip" which is code for PARTY WEEK!). Other than that, if it contains alchohol, and isnt Tequila, Im in!

I had this fantastic drink when I was in Japan! It was ichigo yogurito orangi (strawberry yogurt orange). I know, you're probably thinking it sounds gross right? Not at all! There are actually a lot of yogurt based alcoholic beverages in Japan and they're really good! I haven't been able to find them in the US though, which is very saddening. v.v That remains my absolute favorite drink.

Best I've been able to do to try to copy the taste is strawberry schnapps mixed into orange juice, which is pretty darn good.

Unfortunately, most bars don't carry strawberry schnapps. So if I order anything at a bar, I usually go with a pierced navel, which is peach schapps with cranberry juice.

@Kris: My friend makes another version of Butterbeer. His is a mix of butterscotch schnapps and Baileys on ice. I'll be sure to let him know your version. I'm sure he'll want to try it.

Mike's Hard Lemonade, or anything girly.. Strawberry Daquiris, Kamakazis, Screwdrivers, ANY wine, Bombay Saphire.. but Mike's is my top so far. My mom also makes this amazing thing called "Slush", part orange juice, part lemonade, part Sprite, all frozen together and mixed with gin. That's also very tasty :)

I HATE the taste of beer (rare exceptions), but I'm still open to trying them. I'm more of a snobby wine/malt liquor person. >.>;

Vodka is a topper but I'm beginning to like beer more.
Other than the kind of drunk it provides. For me, beer=stupid.

Dark beers are good, I do like Guineass, but no more than two pints at a time. We serve a lot of Yuengling where I work at because we serve it as one of our domestics.

@Synthetika ~ Just don't get caught... It sounds like there are a lot of interesting drinks you like. It's funny you mention Rolling Rock Ale, I took a friend of mine out and I picked up the tab. For one bottle where I live in the mountains of North Carolina, it was three dollars and fifty cents for a twelve ounce bottle of it! I could not believe it. I really don't acknowledge Rolling Rock Ale as one of the better ales, but I definitely would not put it up with the more expensive ales that I have had in the past. Oh well, I guess I won't be going to that place anymore.

@Kris ~ So what you described was butterbeer? You said butterscotch schnapps and cream soda?? Now I got to try that shit!! That sounds like it really could be the shit!! LOL

@rabbitpurr ~ Abstaining from drinking is always a choice, there are always other devices to indulge yourself in :)

@Draciolus ~ Poet's Third Eye eh? A lot of people have been talking much about this drink. Back in the day it was actually poisonous if I recall, someone mentioned they used Green Fairy which came from Wormwood? I was reading back some of the responses, I think I'm correct in saying that. Not big on tequilla huh?

@Taviren ~ Actually that doesn't sound gross at all since I like all kinds of alcoholic beverages, I was in Tokyo when I was ten but that was over twenty years ago, and I was not allowed those kinds of drinks. I need to try your version of butterbeer as well.

@Liquid Diamond ~ Sounds quite good, I can only handle a small amount of fruity drinks. I do get in my moods I must say. I do like Sangrias very much with lots of fruit in it.

@ReiketsuMegami ~Vodka depends on my mood, I have begun to like Canadian whiskey myself personally. Beer it depends, I like good old English ales a lot!!

Not quite sure, most likely either Captain Morgans Rum, Jack Daniel's, or Vodka. I am Scottish and Irish, as well as Welsh so I like to drink. Although unlike the stereotype I do not like to drink until I am too inebriated. I can become quite roudy sometimes though. Heh heh.

You like the top shelf liquors, as do I, but being broke most of the time doesn't quite lend itself to let me get all the fine liquors I desire. Sadly, I drink the cheap shit. I am half English/Scotch and the other Italian. I like wines a lot too.

Is the cost of living expensive there? I will see if I can find Finlandia Vodka here in the States.

I don't like alcohol, it just tastes bad to me, and the thought of the ingredients it's made of just sitting in a barrel for like 5 years fermenting doesn't sit right with me.
I DO however enjoy a sip of a margarita whenever one of my legal friends gets one XD

It is! Such a nice, light flavor and you can't taste the alcohol, no matter how much schnapps you add. We used about 3 parts soda to one part alcohol, but half and half is nice, too. So yummy! :) I recommend it to any HP fans.

I'm still not legal.
Not for another few months, anyway.
Though I don't really like the taste.
So, it doesn't make much of a difference in my life.

Most people say that living here is expensive, and usually when you go to a foreign country everything is cheaper. But I wouldn't say it's very expensive. Big Mac is about four euros. : D

Margaritas are definitely a favorite in the beverage industry. Fermentation does sound a bit gross if you really think about it.

@Kris ~ Actually, a friend and I tried it, we will give the half and half a shot. Butterscotch schnapps is expensive though which sucks.

@H o l l y ~ There are some people that alcohol doesn't mean a lot to. Take me for instance, I'm more of a social drinker. I don't drink alone, I usually drink with friends.

@pumpkins ~ Interesting, so when you buy a big mac over there, do you get french friends with a drink as well? If so, then that isn't too awfully bad.

I don't drink, although I'm 24 (almost) and legally can.

All I have to say is . . . . . . people are always saying on this site that no adults post on avatar sites and if that is true, then this thread shouldn't be here at all. I wonder how many people posted on it who drink illegally.

I'm sure there are a lot of people who drink underage. That is a chronic problem in the US that will always be around as long as there is alcohol and taboo coupled with laws not to drink until you reach a certain age. Some people alcohol is not their device whereas smoking may be or smoking weed for instance.

@pumpkins ~ That translates into about seven to eight American dollars. That's really not too bad cause over here it's about five to six American dollars anyways. I try to stay away from fast foods like McDonalds myself.

I am not one for exotic beverages. My pick for this question is plain ol´ beer. Especially Efes beer, which you can find anywhere in Turkey.

I like things mixed with vodka, my favorites being Vodka and Cranberry, Screaming Orgasm, and a drink I call Starburst that someone made, she was just messing around; I've been trying to recreate it since: Rasberry Smirnoff, Midori, Melon liqueur (sp?), and blue curacao. It seriously tastes like starburst.

I rarely drink. I am not a person that really likes Alchol. My sister makes fun of me because on my 21st birthday I hardly drank and never got drunk. When I do feel like drinking I will only have one or two beers. I guess the only drink i have is Heineken.
