Welcome to Mene. I myself am relatively new. Here is what I do and it seems to work. You need to talk on the forums to get gold, or play games. I do both and it works. There is really something for anyone here, just take a look around. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.
I come from Gaia, too. Though, I haven't quit (far from it), Gaia is just a bit slow at the moment. DX I've been on this site for a few months, but this is only the second time I've logged in. LOL
