Is anyone else craving to see what effect their decisions in Mass Effect 1 will have on the game play of Mass Effect 2? I know I am. That very concept, is why I first bought ME1 in the firs place. The sad part is that I might not be able to get the new one... low on cash.

What did you guys do to the council at the end of ME1? Are they alive or dead, and who did you put in charge?

I know the feeling...except I havent finished the first one yet. Ive been a little busy with finding work...and killing people on MW2.

I want to try out the first one, but something always just pulls me off of it.
The in-depth conversations and interactions are extremely appealing to me as an RPG fan, but the combat system is what always leaves me to say, "I'll wait on that one, and grab XXXXX instead."

The combat system is akin to that of say... halo. And you'll find rather extreme similarities to Knights of The Old Republic. It can be a ton and a half of fun Trust me. I just finished my second play through, and I loved it. You can do things differently each time you play, in order to see the different outcomes for certain events.

I want to see what my decisions will cause in the new one though. I can't tell you the specifics without spoilers, so I won't tell you. :) Trust me though play it through to the end, and you'll want to play it again.

I can't wait to play Mass Effect 2. I have been playing the ME 1 DLC that I haven't finished, which i'll be done with that by tonight probably and I have also played Mass Effect Galaxy on the Ipod touch but haven't finished it. I did finish ME 1. I haven't replayed it from the beginning but I would like to do that as well and do some things differently. ME 2 is going to be so awesome that it's going to be on 2 discs. XD

The combat system for ME is pretty good and it looks like they have made it even better for ME 2.

Two discs? really? I haven't seen a game on two discs since the play station 1. This is going to be freaking awesome!! I've played twice, as I said before, but I started it months ago, and only had the last two missions left when I started up again. I'm considering doing it once more before the new one comes out, and really taking my time with my decisions. Not sure if I will though.

You should look for Lost Odyssey(a whopping 4 discs!!!!!), Star Ocean: The Last Hope(3 discs). Both have great gameplay, great stories, and LOTS of replay value(one achievment for Lost Odyssey requires you to open ALL treasure chests in the game in 1 playthrough...I keep missing one or two).

As for length of those two, I beat Lost Odyssey main story in about 80hours. I havent beat the DLC boss...damn him! Level 95 chars, with best gear, proper rings(deal extra damage if right element/monster type killer/etc) deal MAYBE(and this is if you have element, type of monster, extra damage) 25 per hit. 50 on criticals...oh, did I forget to mention he has over 300k HP? And that his normal attack can knock out someone with 9999HP, 999Def, and Shieldus&Barricadus on, in 1.5hits.

I still have to beat Star Ocean, which I would have by now if my first 360 didnt get that horrid red ring of death...and if MW2 came out, along with me getting Borderlands, L4D2, Army of Two: TFD, etc. But I vow, one of these days(maybe years) I will beat it before I go insane with wanting to finish the story!

Mass effect two comes out at midnight on Monday, so for those of us unwilling to stand out in the cold at all hours, It comes out on Tuesday. I will be getting it. I'm sooo wondering about my choices from the first game, and what role they will play. I was super nice to everyone the whole game, I think. I wonder if that will make things easier, or if people will think I'm a wuss.

Not sure if people will think you're a wuss, but I know that I did the same with my first playthrough, and I decided to continue with the same char(second playthrough) just so that I could easily finish it, and do the evil side of things. Mind you, I noticed that having over 800 omni gels is kind of cheap...I never really need to do the decryptions myself. Though, I will admit Im interested in how Anderson will be able to handle being in charge.

That is one effect I most wish to see. Also I hear wrex is becoming the leader of the Krogan in the new one. Not sure if he already rules all the clans, or if he is in the process of uniting them. I sooo hope you can help him do it! that would be awesome.

Ok, I just started playing, and am already in LOVE with the game.

Okay, so this game is like my new baby. Everything that was utterly wrong with the first game has been fixed and everything that worked stayed the same. I am super excited and have already given hours of my life to this game. SO damn good. I love how fluid everything is and how well everything just flows. I've hit a few bugs here and there, but that's not bad considering this is release day. Man though, is it just me or is the dialogue in this game just so freaking awesome? I have hit so many fricken great one liners so far and there are so many more that just keep making me laugh out loud. It is great!

i just didn't have a saved game from mass effect but i just played mass effect 2 plainly. But from what i hear if shepard dies at the end of the game, you will never be able to play mass effect 3. I love the game. Right now, I am finishing the side missions and building my ship upgrades before i go into the final mission. I can't wait to see the final ending. >.< Sooo excited.

I just beat the game. With my choices everyone survived. I went paragon all the way. My crew were loyal, and I did all of the upgrades I could. Love the new mining by the way.

My favorite thing is that in the new one you can choose Tali as your love interest. Wanted to in the first game but couldn't. Who did you guys pick?

I just beat the game, and not everyone survived. Jack, Legion and Thane all died when I was trying to get to the collectors base. Though, once inside, everyone that was there lived, and I went Paragon(with a touch of renegade because I was full on Paragon VERY early in game). For the romance, I went with Miranda. Though, I do hate that Legion got killed in the approach to Collector base, since I just got him loyal.

If you have garrus lead the other team it works well. Also have legion go through the vent. That's what I did. oh! and have jack do the forcefield for you. That is all of the things I did. It worked out for me. :)

Well, I would have done that, except they were dead even before getting to the part where someone goes through the vent. I did have Garrus on other team, Samara did the forcefield, Tali went through the vent. It was while those stupid eye-ball things are chasing you through the junk yard. The first one shot the ship, and took Jack out right away. Legion was blown away in engineering, and Thane was killed when a steel beam slammed into him after taking another shot.

Upgrade your ship before you go! if there is an option to upgrade your ship, take it. The medbay, fuel cells, and scanner are not necessary, but the guns, shield, and armor are. Get them before you go through the relay. I'm obsessive compulsive. I had all of the upgrades. :D

That would probably explain it...oh well, I got bored of looking for minerals, and scanning planets, so I just went through the relay, didnt even have fully upgraded weapons either.

Scanning is less boring with the scanner upgrade. It makes the little thing move twice as fast. Also trying to find a planet with large deposits of Element zero is fun. lol.

Well, Im going to "restart" using the same char I had, which coincidentally is the same one from Mass Effect 1, and Im going to upgrade EVERYTHING, and go Renegade.

I am also using the same character as in mass effect one. However I changed my class, and appearance. I had wanted to try Biotic powers, so I did.

Has anybody played Mass Effect 2? I own it and play it and find it really awesome!!

I played it and finally beat it. It was a very good game and can't wait to play Mass Effect 3. If you are going to play make sure not to kill shepard...you will not be able to play him in the third one.
