lol. I still liked it. Right now I'm studying Japanese history. Late Heian period. I'm trying to figure out the age of the woman I'm writing about.

Who is she?

She's a female samurai, Hangaku Gozen. Gozen is a ne commonly given to female samurai. The problem is is that she was alive during two different periods in Japan. The Heian Period, and the Kamakura period. but she didn't get married till very early in the Kamakura period, so I'm trying to figure out the age women married during the late Heian period. The Kamakura period was still very new so I figure they must still do some things as they did in the Heian period.

Yes. So the minimum age for a girl to marry is 12. She was a warrior though, and well respected and strong. So I would think she'd be a little older than that. Maybe 16 would be good mainly for reader's reason. Though at the beginning I'll make her 15. So a whole year goes by till she marries. So that means the story will take place right before the uprising. *nods and saves research*
