1.Between the Spaces
I thought I could write you away,
Imprison you in ink,
Thought you would stay within those lines,
Between the spaces and punctuation.
I thought I could sleep you away,
Shut you out of my dreams,
Thought you would not dare enter,
Where noone else could.
I thought I could cry you away,
Drown you in tears,
Thought you would rid yourself,
Of all that emotion.
I thought I could curse you away,
Stab you with anger,
Thought you would get tired,
And fade from my memory.
I thought wrong,
Immortalized you in ink,
Ran to you in dreams,
Missed you in tears,
And longed for you in anger,
But I think I can try to move on now.
2.Beneath the Beautiful
To look upon it,
It is Beautiful,
A magnificent picture-us,
But I dare not whisper,
Lest it should shatter,
Lest my words should harm it,
Because beneath the Beautiful,
Lurks my questions,
My pain,
My ever-looming doubts,
But I dare not let them,
Reach the surface,
Lest they should smear the image,
All the while I am suffocating,
Beneath a blanket of Beautiful.
3.Foolish
Sometimes the wind blows my hair,
In soft tangles around my face,
And I think I can feel your fingertips,
Caressing my skin,
But I am foolish,
And it is only an illusion,
Only a trick,
Played by a lonely heart.
