"Goku and Brooke sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G." Miwa sang the rest of the song as she danced around the two. Goku gave her an odd look.
"We were not K-I-S-S-I-N-G," Goku said. "And we're not going to have babies either, so I don't even know why you bothered singing that song."
Hakkai bursted out into laughter. "She was teasing you Goku." Ah, Goku could be so cute when he was being all naive-like. "Come on, its going to get very dark soon, we should all get back to the inn. Besides, Sanzo some how ended up getting extra rooms for us. I bet he ran the current tenants out of their rooms."
Miwa laughed. "That figures, he seems so grumpy. I bet he wouldn't share his bed."
"You got that right," Goku said. "He makes me sleep with Gojyo. Ew."

Brooke giggled. "I wouldn't want to share a bed with Gojyo." she said. She turned to Miwa. "I guess we're sharing a room then?" She asked. She didn't want to state the other option, or even ask. It was too much to ask after only one day. But still, it would have been nice. She looked up at the darkening sky, and suddenly wanted to go back to the safety of the inn. "I say we head back then. We can always figure out room situations there." She grabbed Goku's hand and laced her fingers through his. She gave him a big smile.

For a moment Goku was confused. He'd never really held hands with anybody like this. It was very.. nice. Goku smiled back at Brooke and tightened his grip. He wondered what this odd feeling was. The feeling of uncontrolable glee and excitement. It was like he was looking forward to living, even more so. Part of him was telling him he was seriously missing out on a big part of life and that fighting wasn't what it was all about. He loved a good fight, he loved pushing himself to the extremes, he loved beating the shit out of demons, but nothing really made him feel like this.
"I've got us a room," Miwa said. "With two nice warm beds." She snuggled up next too Hakkai who hesitated for a moment, then wrapped his arm around her. It was cold, he had to keep her warm.

"Awesome." Brooke said. She gave Miwa a look, the kind that said she wanted to spill about her day. But at the same time, this wasn't just any regular "capture" romance. Brooke had true feelings for Goku, and stalking him didn't feel right anymore. Now it was almost as if she wanted to be with him. She was very sad about him leaving in the morning, and wondered how her and Miwa could get the party to stay a little while longer. There was no way they'd fit in the jeep. Letting out a fake yawn, Brooke tugged on Goku's arm gently. "Let's go back," she said. "I'm tired."

"You both look pretty warn out," Hakkai said, noting their dirty and ruffed up clothing. "What were you guys doing out here all evening? Fighting off demons?"
Goku grinned. "Na, that would have been fun though. Brooke and I were sparring. I was teaching her how to fight. She's got a nasty right hook, i'll tell you that."
Miwa laughed. It was funny to hear that her friend was beating up on Goku. She could only imagine how that was. While they were goofing off out there she and Hakkai had spent a lot of time just walking and talking about things. He talked about his adventures, the people he met, even the impostors they had run into twice. She couldn't stop laughing when Hakkai told her some short fat, pig-like man had claimed to be him. It was the funniest thing ever.
Once they got to the in the boys parted ways and they made their way up to their room.
Miwa twirled around and then flopped on the bed with a huge grin on her face. "Today was just.. so much fun," she than sat up and immediately asked what happend with Goku

Brooke sat straight up and bounced a couple of times. "Oh my gosh, after he woke up when we drugged them, he said my lips were soft when we kissed. On our walk we sparred a little bit, and he ended up pinning me to the ground and tickling me!" Brooke was talking a mile a minute and was trying to slow herself down. "I kissed him on the cheek and I think he doesn't mind. I think he might like me!" Brooke was excited. She bounced a couple more times and flailed her arms a bit. She couldn't erase the grin from her face. But then she frowned. "But goku said they're leaving tomorrow. I don't know how to convince Sanzo to stay or if we could go with them. There's not enough room in the jeep." Brooke looked up at the ceiling as she tried to think of how to fix this dilemma. In her mind, it was a big one.

Miwa's face went from shear excitement to extreme sadness and disappointment. "What? They are really leaving?" She started to sulk. Hakkai hadn't mentioned it. That really bummed her out. Maybe they would stay another day? "Oh man, this really sucks. Let's go slash their tires," she said quietly. "Where would you get new ones around here anyways?" It sounded like a good idea, but a bad idea at the same time. Really she had no idea what they should do. "Do you have any ideas?"

"I don't know. I figured you could come up with something." Brooke admitted. "Wouldn't slashing their tires hurt Jeep?" It was a stupid question, but she wasn't sure. "I mean, unless he can't feel it....I dunno." Brooke stared at the ground and pouted. Shangri-la was boring and pointless without the four guys around. Brooke wanted to stick by them as long as possible. At this point, her and Miwa needed a miracle.

"Oh god, I can't believe I thought about hurting Jeep," she made a face of torment and then buried her face in a pillow. She felt like screaming. She finally got to meet Hakkai and now she was plain addicted to that smile and his laugh. Oh, and how his hands felt. His hands were amazingly soft. From everything he'd been through too!
It was starting to feel hopeless. Sanzo wouldn't have them. For one, like Brooke stated, there was just no room in that small little Jeep. And two, Sanzo wouldn't have them> They would be a liability.
But just as hope was looking dim for our two ladies something ccrazy happened. A bright light shined down from the heavens.. well the ceiling since they were inside after all. A tall woman figure appeared in the light. Once the light finally stopped blinding the girls the woman spoke. "Aren't you both a sad bunch."
Miwa and Alexial exchanged looks. "And who exactly are you?" Miwa asked nicely.
"Me? Why I'm the Merciful Goddess." Holy shit, no way. A god? Goosebumps ran up Miwa's arms. She was too stunned to say anything.
"I've been watching Sanzo and his lackies for a while now, and honestly things are getting a little boring, but when you two showed up things changed. You see, I like change because in the heavens change never happens. So, I thought how could I make sure things stay the same? After all Konzen.. Er, Sanzo wouldn't allow two weaklings like you follow them. Now I'm hear to change that." She crossed her arms over her chest and smiled smuggly at them both.
"Okay, what does that mean? You'll make us powerfull demon slayers?"
"No, you idiot. I can't just grant some random woman the power to slay demons."
Miwa looked nervously over at Brooke. "So, what do we get then?"
"A dragon, for one." She snapped her fingers and a black twin to Hakuryuu appeared and landed on Miwa's shoulder. "That way you can follow the Sanzo party. And two, a power of your own choosing. Besides that I'll make sure you're slightly faster, stronger, and a bit more resilient. After all, you'll have to learn how to fight demons on your own. This just insures you wont get killed the first time you're in a fight. So ladies, take your pick. And don't pick anything demonic. You can't conjure fire or summon fiends with out being a demon, so don't bother asking me."

Brooke leaned forward as she stared at this woman. "Any power?" she asked. "What if I wanted Telekineses?" She asked. "Would that work?" Brooke could already imagine being in a fight alongside Goku, showing off her amazing skills and having him watch her.....She blushed. It was a good thing no one could read her mind. "Do we get weapons too?" She also asked.

"Telekineses? What a simple power," she snapped her fingers and it was done. "As for weapons? There's an armory down the street." Once again she snapped her fingers and a sack full of money dropped in the middle of the room. She then turned to Miwa. "What about you?"
"I want to be a master archer!" She jumped up on the bed and raised one of her fists.
The goddess rolled her eyes. "YOur friend picks telekenisis and you want to be an archer?"
Miwa raised a brow. "That's not good enough?"
"How about I give you the power to see."
"See?"
"See the past and future. ANd in the present you'll be able to see into the far distance. You wont have to wear those stupid glasses any more."
Miwa fumed. "They look cool!"
The good laughed. "If you say so," she snapped her fingers and Miwa let out a weird noise and threw off her glasses.
"I didn't realize I was so blind!" Once the goddess gave her, her sight the glasses instantly gave her a headache.
"I've got to make a visit with Sanzo. Be ready in the morning, he may still leave you."
With more blinding lights the Goddess was gone.

Brooke giggled and looked away from Miwa. She decided to start off by moving Miwa's glasses around the room. She was able to move them a few feet before losing concentration. "This is way cool!" she said excitedly. "I'm not going to sleep tonight at all."

Both Miwa and Brooke could hear Sanzo yelling from the room next door. "WHAT?! I are you fucking out of your mind? You want me to take those GIRLS to INDIA!?"
Miwa looked over at Brooke and laughed. "Sanzo doesn't sound to happy about it."
There was some more yelling then the rest of the boys made way into Sanzo's room to find out what the hell was going on.
There was some quiet murmurs and then Goku yelling "YIPPY!!!!"
It wasn't seconds later when Goku stormed through the door. "SANZO IS TAKING YOU GUYS WITH US!" he yelled in excitment.

Brooke jumped off the bed, and started hopping on the floor. she then climbed back on the bed and started jumping on that too. "I know I know! I'm so excited!" She yelled. She couldn't control herself anymore. She hopping off the bed and started jumping up and down in front of Goku, spinning around in a circle. She was too excited to calm down.

Hakkai came into the room to peak. "You guys should probably get some sleep. Sanzo is making up get up extra early and even if the Goddess told him to take you both, he'll still leave with out you if you're not ready."
Miwa nodded. "Yeah, and I'm going to have to drive." She made a D: face and groaned. The little black dragon floated up onto Miwa's shoulder. "KYUUU!"
"Oh, we need to give you a name," Miwa said she she patted its head.
"KYU-KYUU!"
Miwa laughed and decided she'd just name her Kyuu. "Well then Kyuu it is." Kyuu made peeping noises and flew in a circle before laying onto the bed. "Sleep sounds nice," she smiled up at Hakkai. "I'll see you in the morning," she said.

Brooke lay down in her bed. she would have a hard time sleeping, but she'd have to try. She figured Goku would come bounding in in the morning anyway to get them up. Sanzo wouldn't be able to leave without the girls. "G'night Miwa." she said, trying to feel sleepy. It wasn't working. Brooke was too awake and excited.

Miwa knew she had to get to sleep, but she was far to excited to go on this journey. AFter an hour or so she finally did fall asleep. In the morning Kyuu work her up by peeping in her ear. "Ah, shoo, I'm trying to sleep." Kyuu knew that if they didn't get up Sanzo would leave them, so she bit Miwa's ear.
"OW! YOU STUPID DRAGON D:" Miwa sat up and swatted at the dragon, that was when she noticed Sanzo outside loading up Jeep. "OMG BROOKE WAKE UP!" She ran over to Brooke's bed and started jumping up and down. "GOku is going ot leave you if you don't wake up!"
Just as she was talking about him, Goku walked into the room. "Watchu talk'n about? We aint leaven no-one." Hakkai poked his head in behind Goku.
"Goku is right, we wont leave just yet. Hurry up and join us for breakfast. Sanzo is getting antsy."

Brooke jumped up, already feeling wide awake. "Let's go!" she practically shouted. She didn't have enough energy to start hopping around, but still, she was ready to go. Luckily her and Miwa didn't have a lot of stuff to pack, so it would be a fairly quick morning. "Tell Sanzo to hold his horses, we're leaving now." Brooke said. Regardless the smile wouldn't leave her face. She raced downstairs to where the main eating eating area was. Brooke wasn't sure what to order first to go.

Miwa and Brooke quickly ate their breakfast and made way to where Jeep and Sanzo were. She patted Kyuu on the head. "Okay Kyuu. Be a jeep now." Kyuu made a sound and shook her head. "What? What's wrong?" The little dragon floated around in a circle then landed on the sand. That's when Jeep decided to be a dragon again.
"What the hell?" Sanzo grumbled. Jeep and Kyuu seemed to dance together and suddenly they become one giant Jeep.
"COOOL. O.O"
Sanzo really had no words to express his surprise. The rest of the boys came out and saw the new and improved Jeep-Kyuu.
"Holy shit!" Gojyo shouted. "Ah, this is friggin sweet!"
"No kidding, looks like Hakuryuu got an upgrade," Hakkai said as he stroked the bright blue sides of the Jeep. It was almost the same as before, but prettier and bigger.
"A Kyuu upgrade," Miwa said. "Now we don't have to drive two seperate vehicles."

Brooke started laughing. It was the coolest thing ever, to have one giant jeep, but it was also funny, because she knew it wasn't what Sanzo wanted. Like she cared. Without waiting to see what anyone else would do, Brooke hopped into the new jeep. "Goku, come sit next to me." She called, patting the seat right next to her. In the back of her mind Brooke wondered if Miwa was going to sit next to Hakkai in the passenger seat, or if Sanzo was going to still get it because he was special like that. Then Brooke decided she didn't really care, so she settled for leaning back comfortably and waiting for everyone else. She was excited to hit the road.

Miwa laughed and then yelled, "Shotgun!" She ran around and jumped into the front passenger side. She slapped the drivers seat and called for Hakkai.
Sanzo twitched. The Merciful Goddess' voice rang in his head. "Stop being so uptight, and relax. You're going to get an aunurism." So, he was going to try this 'relaxing'. We'll see how well that goes.
Everybody got into Jeep-Kyuu, surprisingly with out bitching or moaning. Sanzo sat in the back with his arms crossed while smoking a cigarette. Gojyo did the same, with out the arm-crossing. Then they were off.
They were barely out of view from the town when Goku said, "All right! I can't wait to eat. Where is the next town Hakkai?"

Brooke smiled to herself. She dared not make a comment, for fear of pissing Sanzo off. But she found Goku hilarious regardless. She turned to him and poked him. "We just left, silly. We'll eat soon, I hope." Even Brooke was starting to feel hungry again. She'd only eaten a little bit of food before rushing out the door; she was that excited. But Brooke didn't want to upset anyone. Besides, her and Miwa were destined to be on his adventure. The Merciful Goddess has spoken.

They had been driving for what seemed like hours when Goku started his whining about food. "We wont reach the next town until late tonight or tomorrow morning," Hakkai said. "We'll have to camp out. If your hungry dig into the supplies and have an apple."
Goku poked his lip out. "An apple? I'm thinking more along the lines of a steak."
"Yeah, a steak doesn't seem half bad," Gojyo agreed.
Oh that got it started. Now everybody was talking about steak, even Sanzo agreed that it sounded good.
"Somebody go catch a cow," Goku said as he jumped up in his seat.
"Oh, right. Where the hell would we find a cow out here?" Gojyo so as he thumped Goku on the head.
And just as they were talking about cows, Hakkai slammed on the breaks in order to avoid a whole heard of cows crossing the path.
"What the heck?" Miwa said as she hopped out of the Jeep.
"DINNNERRRRRRRR" Goku shouted as he too jumped out.

Brooke's jaw dropped. That was pure coincidence. It had to be. There was no way a herd of cows would randomly appear while they were talking about them. But then again, it was perfect. "Mmm, beef," she said. "It's what's for dinner." Brooke laughed at her own wit. She really did watch too much tv. Finding herself drooling already, Brooke wiped her mouth and opened her mouth to speak. "Too bad we don't have any ranch to go along with it, or at least barbeque sauce. A nice tender meat slab would be great with condiments."

((OMG soooo hungry!))

"Oh man. Stop all this chatter about dinner, your going to make me starve to death," Gojyo said as he rubbed his stomach.
Goku laughed. "She has a point, that all sounds good."
Sanzo stepped around the Jeep to look at the cattle in front of them. "Guys, we have a bigger problem than figure out how we are going to eat them," Sanzo said as he pointed at a cow who was looking at them with red glowing eyes.
Miwa shrieked, "DEMON COWS!"
All the cows looked up at once, all staring at the Sanzo party and the two new additions with their glowing red eyes.
"What the hell!?" Goku jumped onto the front of the jeep. "There's no way demon cows could taste good."
Miwa looked at Brooke and gave her an odd look. She wondered if the cows were dangerous?
"What should we do?" Miwa asked.
"Perhaps we should let them be, and just drive around." Hakkai along with everybody else got back into the jeep. He put it in reverse to turn around but just as he did the cows started to charge.
