Worst convention I've ever been to. I'll probably never go back to that one, ever. I'm soooooooo disappointed. And exhausted and still frustrated.

The entire convention was retarded as all hell. -.- And no. I really don't feel like going into alot of detail. I will say this though.

The convention CENTER would NOT allow japanese candy to be sold at all on their grounds so that the CENTER's food vendors could make MORE money on already way over priced hotdogs and dippin dots.

Now that sucks :(
I can't imagine an anime convention without japanese food of any kind :( Guess that's one disappointment you'll be able to avoid next year. If they'll be back next year.

Maybe :( I'm not sure. Well, I know I still have some paperwork to fill out so I might not make it in time for the summer semester. Maybe I might start during the fall one but in case I don't have time, I'll be dropping out on a couple of other RPs :sweat: But I won't just up and leave with no warning of course. I'll be doing my best to steer my charries off the stage over the next couple of weeks :) So no need to worry yet. I think.

its a bit hectic, i have to go to work about 4.5 miles away for the next like five days with basically no break >.< not to mention all the a**'s who just wont answer the stupid questionnaires when they were due so now we have to go around and enumerate them>.< *sigh* other wise it was pretty good if not a little boring

The con did kinda suck... I've been to either 11 or 12 cons since 2005 (can't remember if I did NekoCon twice or just once), and not once was I forced to buy the overpriced food. For years, cons were my primary source of ramune and candies. Granted, there's this kickass Asian store in Richmond on Broad St called 'Tan-A' that sells all the best candy and drinks from Japan... But going to Richmond isn't the same as going to a con...

I did get some cheap manga and an entire anime series on dvd, so it wasn't a total loss of a con... Got a cute dragon in an egg (I named it Toothless), a crocheted Cheshire Cat, and a piece of art from someone that my friend knew from college...

Oh, and spent between $30 and $50 on the overpriced, overrated, cardboard flavored, P.o.S. food that barely kept me going on no sleep.

I did get to meet up with Kry-ikkou (Kry and company {if I spelled it right... if not, I don't want to know what I really said...}), so that was fun.

Oh, Kry-kun, I feel I should apologize for being somewhat distant. I was running on no sleep what-so-ever. Dunno if I was as vacant as I think I was or not, I didn't mean to be. Gawd, what a bad impression... (I also do better writing then I do speaking...)

Given that it was my first time at AnimeZement, I'm hesitant to give it a con score, but on the scale of 1-10 (1=sucked/10=best ever) for cons in general, I can't help but give it a 3.5, if only for Artist Alley and the Dealers Room vendors. The con goers weren't the best I'd seen, though a lot of cosplays were done really well (and maybe it's because it wasn't a VA con), there seemed to be some effort lacking in a few (hundred) of them.

Dunno if I'd do the con again next year or not. Ask me again in 11 months, see if I'd forgotten this year by then.

I won't do animazement again. Not ever. It was HORRIBLE.

But you were fine. You did seem a bit distant but I figured it was mostly because you were in pain. -shrug- No worries. I felt rather inadequate and awkward anyway. I don't do to well with real life social interaction, but I do try. I absolutely hate large crowds of people but I can't seem to stay away from cons.

I do better with people interaction when I'm not face to face with them. Next time we do something like that it'll be better.

I suxxor at talkie-talkie stuff. I always say the wrong thing when I mean something else. Sam (screen name of the girl I was with {in case I can ever convince her to sign up on Mene} *doesn't want to use real name online*) pretty much can translate my gibberish to real speak by now, but most normal people take it as me being mean/rude/impertinent/evil/bitchy... I've made some pretty good enemies by trying to talk out loud to them... I always say the wrong thing, and it's usually worse when I'm nervous.

Also, another part of the 'distance' was that I kept expecting some random people we're used to seeing at cons randomly showing up... Being at an out of state con is weird....

I'M FINALLY BACK!!!! Jeez... Having two jobs kind of sucks... But atleast now I get paid. ^_^

So AnimeZement was a total waste? That sucks... I personally have never been to an anime convention, so I'm still jealous.

BTW I'll try to keep my charrie in a situation where you can pass her, since I doubt I'll be on that much. I'd like it if you could wait for me, because I will get on eventually, I'm just not sure when. So you don't have to. :)

I know what you mean with the social stuffs. I personally am very good at being social, after you get past the initial weirdness... And Chryssta, I'm sure you wouldn't offend me no matter what you say. Not only am I VERY difficult to offend, but I have this horrible tendency to see the best in everyone anyways. So yayz!! :XD

lol its all fine with you all, i know you would all be surprised if you ever meet me in rl ^^ lol and i dont know what you mean about the two jobs dia, ive only ever worked one job at a time, though i have worked at all different times. and was the animazement that bad?

I've got two jobs. One for 24 hours a week at 8 bucks an hour, and another at varying hours of the week, at 7.25 an hour. With Sunday being my only "day off" (and I still can't sleep in because of church), I'm working atleast 40 hours a week. Most likely more.

Basically, I'm going to be swamped a LOT.

What do you do, Dia? Or would you prefer not to say?

And the con itself didn't suck, the con center they were in kinda sucked. Found out from the friend I was with that the con had no choice about the selling of food stuffs, it was the con center's requirement, not the con itself. They could either go with it or find a new home. I bet that was a last minute thing the center did...
