I've thought about trying to put something together for Martel on Mene as well, but I think I'll stick with just trying to put something together in real life. At least for now, I guess. Trying to cosplay Martel here would require a lot more gold than I have at the moment.

Me too. It's starting off rather slow but that's probably my fault for not getting it up on Friday or Saturday when people are most likely to see it. >.<

Also, thanks for all the sympathy. *huggles all* Things are getting back to normal but today was not a good day. We got a check in the mail that Dad had apparently set up to have sent out to my hubby automatically. It says "Love you both. Hope this helps. Love Dad." My husband and I both broke down when we saw it. On top of that, my step son had to fly back to Oregon today so we were both a bit sad about that. Anywho, I'm gonna play plants vs zombies and not think no more tonight. ^_^' I'll post tomorrow.

Plants VS Zombies is a good way to block out other thoughts. I play it from time to time myself.

The zombies ate my brains. lol. :drool: So I decided I was too tired to keep playing because they only beat me when I make stupid mistakes like accidentally placing stuff in the wrong row or grabbing the wrong plants. :oops:

*huggles* I know. He was great that way. We didn't even know he'd sent it. It was such a shock to get that check in the mail. Dad sent them to us from time to time when he knew we were short on money, which we have been recently. We need the money now, but I'm really considering just hanging on to the check for sentimental reasons. We'll never get another one, ya know? And I've just made myself cry again. Dammit! I'm so tired. Just when I think I'm through crying I see something that reminds me of Dad and I lose it all over again. I'm gonna go to sleep now and hopefully tomorrow will be better. Yeah. I would probably hang onto until you really really need it and then use it. He gave it to you for it to be of help, not to be looked at as you starve.

We didn't cash it. We finally got what we needed to close the accounts so we don't need to cash it.

That's good. Still, if the need comes you should use it, I think it's what he would have wanted you to do. ^^; But until that day it will serve as a nice reminder of a loving gift.

*shrugs* We couldn't use it now if we wanted to. The account it is drawn on no longer exists. I think I'll put it in a scrapbook or something. We'll get the money in a couple of days anyway.

Nope that's the gist of it. My husband is the beneficiary on the account so we get the money anyway. *shrugs* Dad left everything to us, well...to my hubby.
