I didn't either until I saw it on a list of disney movies. I haven't seen it in forever. Never did get to see the sequel either.

I don't remember what the sequel was called. I heard it wasn't very good and then it sort of flopped so I never got to see it. loved the first one though. ^_^

The sequel was stupid. Kida comes to the surface and they have like 5 adventures together. It was less like a movie and more like they wanted to make it into a series but didn't have the funds.

I actually just watched the movie like 2 days ago.

I wouldn't use the buildings but just the water falls.
Maybe use that little pool that you stand in?

Well, they never did show up to do the carpet today, so that kind of ticks me off, but oh well. I don't know yet when they will be coming as they did not even bother to call.

Aphrodite, I just want to let you know that I did try the different eyes on her, but the ones I did end up using seemed to look more sinister and befitting a criminal mind, hence why I chose them, hehe. I also tried the different hair styles, but the one I ended up using seemed to fit best, but that's probably all just a matter of preference. Thank you so much for the feedback. :)

Cicadetta, I don't know if I'm looking in the wrong places or what, but I had a very difficult time finding a reference image that actually would work. Most of them only showed head shots or parts of Poison Ivy's body but did not show enough to really be able to use as a reference, hence why I elected to use the image I did. As Roachi told me we are trying to stick as much to the image as possible, and there was no background on the image, I elected not to use any background images. I did contemplate using the lotus, but figured it would be steering away from the actual reference image if I did, although I do think it would have looked better if it had been included. :)

Facade, I totally agree with you, the shirt was a bit bulky, but it was the only shirt I found that would work for the image.\

Roachi, thank you for the compliment, hun. I actuall kind of feel my first two attempts, although challenging, were a bit simple, so I elected to go with something more complex for this next round, hehe. Seeing as they didn't come to lay the carpet, perhaps you can give me some input on the entry I submitted? Maybe you can think of some ways I could improve upon it? I'll have to take a look again, and see if there is anything I can do to make it better.

Edit: Omg, Fauxreal, your Ariel is soooo adorable, hehe.

I don't have the blood lotus or I probably would have used to pool. The cobblestones look weird with the nature background alone because they don't touch it and I don't like it without the floor. Hmm...still working on it. Wonder if I can find anyone who would be willing to let me borrow a Blood Lotus for a day or two while I get this finished. O_o'

@Fizi - Baah that has got to be soo annoying!! But then that's what family is like .. unreliable and annoying LOL.

Yeah the judges were pretty harsh all round this week with the scores lol.

Hey, Fiz. :) Filling in really was fun, though commenting was a lot easier than actually filling in the numbers. Overall impressions are just easier, I guess! I had never done avatar judging like that before, anyway, not really, but I tried to be fair. Um…

I terms of the reference, I think most of those used were covers and splash pages. Oh, and one trading card. (I think.) The one you used was video game concept art. Which is okay. If you'd been looking for comic book or cartoon references, though, Comic Vine has a pretty decent gallery. For future reference. That site is a great resource. :sweat: (Also, I thought this was actually kind of cute, if a little minimalist. Oh, and also this. She's completely insane...)

Either way, you chose a tricky character, so kudos for that! :)

Yes Ryl, I'm Kida. Thanks. ^_^ Hmm...still deciding on a few things for this avi. Do they eat fish in Atlantis? I can't remember...but I wanted to to give the avi a more oceany look. The puddle works I think. I tried the blood lotus pool but didn't care for it.

I'm sure they do eat fish but the only time you see anyone eatting in the movie is this "welcoming feast" and their eatting really weird gross looking things.

And I like the puddle.

One would certainly assume they eat fish. I don't think they have a lot of other meat choices. O_o' I haven't seen the movie since it was new. I really want to watch it now though. ^_^ I think I like the fish with the puddle and the drippies...makes it look like she was just swimming/fishing and helps it to have a more Atlantis-y look I think. ^_^'
