They tried to imprison Saiga, but instead he received a kiss from Kagura. That is when Kagura was saved from this madness. Saiga grabbed Kagura and ran for it. He knew this wasn't a place for a young lady to be. Saiga ends up gaining a super power from kissing Kagura. Later on in the anime, Kagura and Saiga go into hiding/are on an adventure. Kagura almost got caught a couple of times by her mother and Suitengu, but Saiga always manages to recurse her.

Kagura is very introverted and tends to stay in that little world of her's, because of her mother's oppression. Kagura is considered innocent and only knows how to obey people. Because of the lifestyle she had to lead, she always longed for freedom and wondered what the outside world was like. Kagura's true self is unusually stubborn, and is the type that once she has an idea in her head, she'll stick to it. Kagura is interested in everything around her, she can play the piano, and she is good at singing as well (but she doesn't know any popular songs). Kagura also like simple fashion.

Important details: Clare is a Claymore. Well, she doesn't call herself that -- humans call those of her nameless organization that, due to their swords -- but is rather more likely to call herself a monster. Humans call her that, too. Also, "silver-eyed witch." In truth, she is half Yoma, half human. Yoma are the demons of her world, evil creatures that survive by eating the guts of, and often taking the form of, humans. It is the job of the Claymores to wander their land and dispatch of the monsters. And they have the powers to do so.

Of course, the powers to sense and defeat Yoma come with a price. Clare's human side is always at war with her Yoma side. One day she will no longer be able to hold out against her inner Yoma, and on that day, she will wish to die as a human, with her human mind intact. Clare herself comes across as cold and unfeeling, though she finds within herself a capacity for warmth when she rescues a human boy, recently orphaned by a Yoma and exiled by his village, and takes him on as a cook and travelling companion.
