My husband (an overweight balding man who's last address was his mothers basement XD) actually runs a convention, Sogen con. We're both hovering around 30 and still love our geekiness. I'm a proud mother of the youngest member of the Neko Army, and the I hate Greg Ayres baby. I don't see this passing for me. We just love our stuff and wouldn't want to change no matter how old we got.

when i first joined mene i was a little weary about giving out my age... but after being a part of the mene community for the past four months, i have seen that the age thing doesn't seem to bother lots of people... on that note, i am 26 years old and i have been a gamer since i was old enough to hold a game remote... i'd watch my mom play final fantasy before i could even read... and i can't count the nights i have stayed up all night because i was so into a game... i have also been an otaku (in the japanese pop culture sense) for the past four years, and i have found lots of friends who also like the same things... i am proud to be a geek! and as long as it makes me happy i will continue to be myself... which also includes dressing up for halloween (also my favorite holiday!!!) and going out with people trick or treating... well, i feel bad taking the candy, so i pretty much dress up and go with my younger cousins and siblings :D

i don't really get offended by the stereotypes though, because i know the truth... everyone likes what they like... no one should be judged for such things... and the people who do judge are jerks :P and probably just don't feel as passionate about anything in life...
