After recovering from her shock from that rather... Interesting event, the midnight haired beauty turned her attention toward James' father, who seemed to be rather embarrassed about his son's behavior. Serenity merely smiled awkwardly and nodded shortly afterward at the older Sinclaire before following him down the path the other members of his family had taken.

"My lord, it's quite alright," Serenity reassured the male as she stood next to him and walked by his side, "If you want my honest opinion about James, I find him to be the most intriguing man I have ever met in my life. As I told your dear James, I've had some negative experiences with some past suitors, thus my habit of running away... If you haven't spoken to my parents about that just yet, but I believe it'd be wise if I told you myself. Actually, earlier he even showed me how I could run if I wanted to."

She couldn't help but laugh awkwardly at that, but then returned to speaking, "Anyway, I find your son a breath of fresh air and I have found no reason to say no to the proposal and I just wanted you to know that I have accepted. That is, if you accept me as a worthy candidate for your son, of course."

Michael laughed when Serenity spoke of James being intriguing, he looked aside at her and smiled,
"Yes he certainly is intriguing, he gets it from his mother no doubt," Michael nodded to himself considering this to be true without a doubt however paid attention to Serenity still, "Yes.. We'd heard your previous suitors all received the cold shoulder and abandonment treatment.." The man chuckled , resting his hands across his stomach as he walked beside her. Her compliments of his son certainly sounded like good news but he frowned when he heard James had given her an escape route, shaking his head and rolling his eyes,
"He's far too relaxed about these things.." Michael started, but stopped to hear that she'd accepted. The man looked almost entirely shocked his eyes slightly wider than normal before he rubbed his head,
"Do the wonders never cease with that boy..?" He half exclaimed in near shock but then chuckled again, turning to Serenity and smiling as he placed his hands on her shoulders, nodding his head, "That you wish to be with him is enough for me, you yourself strike me as a perfectly fine young woman," hHis grip tightened, but it wasn't hard, more a gentle squeeze like a grateful father would give his child,
"Welcome to our.. Rather unusual family," he motioned down the hall, leading her to the main hall again, "So, what of your entourage? Did you bring anyone you consider interesting along with you?"

"I can't help but find his behavior oddly adorable as well, " Serenity added as the two continued to walk. Soon, she found herself facing the older Sinclaire as he placed both his hand on either side of her shoulders and squeezed them gently. She then in turn, smiled gratefully the moment he welcomed her into his... dysfunctional family. Not long afterward, did he lead her back down to the main all of the Blackhaven castle, where it seemed that her entourage seemed to be residing, helping one another with her things.

"Mainly my chamber maids, a few bodyguards my parents threw at me," Serenity listed as she looked around, "Oh and Charles~ Our personal family butler... Or basically my personal butler... He's taken care of me since I was in diapers." She giggled as a few fond memories zipped past her, "I don't consider him to be my butler... More like, a friend... A grandfather I've never had. Well, I do have grandfathers; but they're just as busy as my parents are..."

"Ah.. We had a butler to help take care of James when we were busy as well, however we have more trustworthy associates to whom we can delegate responsibilities to, so we had more time evidently to raise him as well, however James had still grown a fondness for Walter.. Broke his heart when Walter died." Michael made a grim face, reviewing this rather bad memory, he could still hear his son's tears and that despairing look as he shook Walter as much as his small body would let him, thinking he was playing an elaborate and rather cruel joke, "It isn't often you see James upset, but he locked himself in his room and cried a good long while, didn't eat properly for a couple of days either. Still does that if he gets upset, the not eating part at least. Sometimes I think there's things about James even I do not know." Michael shook his head, watching as those handling Serenity's things were lead to her room,
"Now as you can see this is the main entry hall, there are the two side entrances next to the main doors outside that lead into the outer halls of the castle who themselves lead further in to the guest rooms and upper dining hall." He pointed toward doors further in the castle, the ones that lead to the throne room,
"Our main banquet hall and throne room are through there, and stairwells in there lead to the upper levels and the top floors the very highest being a single unit, the bedroom of myself and Jennifer, however once you two are married we relinquish it to you two and move down a level to specially reserved guest rooms.. James' grandfather Vincent no longer lives here, instead he lives privately in a mansion elsewhere. Vincent's wife Pynkesi passed on before James could be born, unfortunately.." Michael shook his head and sighed, "Never mind that, now on the third floor, just below mine and Jennifers bedroom, is the library, and on either side are the interior guard barracks. Guard Captain Rainrix occupies one with a handful of her best, and her second in command runs the other though obviously all guards are under her personal command, you can trust her judgment. Rainrix appears outwardly to be a rough-and-tumble woman, but she's.. Perhaps as much of an odd-job as James, you'll have to see for yourself one day. We also have a garden area at the back of the castle, beyond the throne room. As for the front of the castle the main guard barracks line the walls."

Michael stopped there a moment before looking at Serenity,
"Now that I've established most of that.. Is there anywhere in particular you would like to go, or would like to do? If you are tired from your journey you can return to your room and rest or go where you please to do so, and if you need anything else you can simply ask our maids,"
